Abstract

CONSTITUTION:A multiple electrode type bulb having several filaments 33 and electrodes 42 arranged in the lateral direction of a vehicle body is used as a bulb for constituting a head lamp assembly for a motorcycle. A turning angle of a steering wheel is detected by such a means that one of photo- interrupters arranged at equal intervals are shielded by a reed piece provided to the shaft of the steering wheel in accordance with the turning angle of the steering wheel, and so forth, so that electrodes on the side to which the steering wheel is turned are energized so as to allow the head lamp assembly to irradiate the same side. During the running of the motorcycle on a curved road, sufficient irradiation to the steering wheel turning side may be made, thereby it is possible to aim at carrying out safe running at the night time.
