Abstract

PURPOSE:To change the capture of an extension and a line wire without executing a special button operation by providing a line capture state changing means at the time of having no input of a number within a constant time after the detection by the off-hook detecting means of a telephone set. CONSTITUTION:At the time of hooking off the handset 18 of a key telephone set 1, it is informed to a main controller 30 through an off-hook detector 17 and an extension interface 19. A central control part 31 discriminates the hooked off telephone set by an extension interface 34, a switch circuit network 35 to connect to an idle line wire and activate a timer 33. Herein, when the operation of a keyboard 16 or the like is not executed but the time of the timer 33 is out, it is automatically connected to the idle line wire. A speech is completed and the handset 18 is placed to read a memory 32 and release a line to both the telephone sets. Thereby, the switching button of the extension and the line wire is not required.
