Abstract
PURPOSE:To aim at the improvement of packaging quality and efficiency by using the first and second folding units for folding inwards the opposite sides of the cover portions for covering the content to be received within a package and extending upwardly beyond the upper surface thereof and the third and fourth folding units for folding inwards another opposite sides of said cover portions. CONSTITUTION:A packaging apparatus is provided with a first folding unit 6 for folding inwards one side 5A along about its middle of the cover portions formed above a rectangular packaging 2 and extending upwardly beyond the upper surface S of the content B to be received therein, a second folding unit 9 for folding inwards the remaining straight portions 7 on both sides of the folded side 5A, a third folding portion 10 for folding inwards the other side 5B along about its middle which is positioned opposite to the side 5A of said cover portions and a fourth folding unit 12 for folding inwards the remaining straight portions 11 on both sides of the folded sides 5B. In a work W formed by folding the sides 5A and 5B inwards in an outer case (A) and by bridging in a straight position the remaining portions 95 and 95' of the sides 5C and 5D, flaps 20A-20D are folded inwards in that order by a sealing machine and closed by a suitable bonding means to complete the packaging. With this apparatus, the packaging efficiency and quality of products can be improved.
