Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable a photographing lens to exhibit the function of a low-pass filter in an arbitrary position thereof by providing a pattern having the function as an optical low-pass filter to one lens face of the lens faces constituting the photographing lens.
CONSTITUTION: The optical low-pass filter function is obtd. by utilizing the phase change of the luminous flux passing grid-like rugged parts 3 of the lens 2. The grid-like rugged parts 3 are provided to the lens face of the place near the stop 1 of the photographing lens 2 where the pupil function changes. Then, the grid-like rugged parts 3 apply phase differences to the luminous flux past said parts, thereby changing the phase term of the pupil function of the photographing lens and limiting the high space frequency component of a subject. The function as the optical low-pass filter of the phase type is thus satisfactorily exhibited.
