NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by formula I [one of R1 and R2 is H and the other is lower acyloxy; one of R3 and R4 is H and other is lower acyloxy or pyranosyl of (1→4) bond wherein OH thereof is peracylated with lower acyl; R5 is 10W25C alkyl; R6 is lower acyl; R7 is OH-protecting group; n is 10W25].
EXAMPLE: 2-Azido-2-deoxy-3,4,6-tri-O-acety-α-D-galactopyranosyl 1-1(3-O-benzoyl) ceramide.
USE: An intermediate for an antigen for sensitization.
PREPARATION: A peracyl-2-azide-2-deoxy saccharide halide shown by formula II (X is halogen) is reacted with a ceramide shown by formula III in the presence of molecular sieve and a silver salt catalyst preferably at room temperature.
