デイテクタより出力される信号の差の時間的積分
値Diを検出する出力差検出手段と、 前記フオトデイテクタ対の出力信号特性が記憶
された出力特性記憶手段と、 前記出力差検出手段より出力される時間的積分
値Di、および前記出力特性記憶手段内に記憶さ
れた出力信号特性より、ノズルの方向性誤差を検
出する方向性誤差算出手段と、 前記方向性誤差算出手段より出力される方向性
誤差を記憶する方向性誤差記憶手段とを具備した
ことを特徴とするインクジエツトプリンタの飛翔
液滴検出装置。 (2) 前記ドロツプセンサは、複数のノズルより
噴射されるインク滴の理想的飛翔経路を含む面を
垂直に照明するように配置された光源、および該
光源と対向するように配置されたフオトデイテク
タ対より成り、 前記方向性誤差算出手段は、 前記出力特性記憶手段内に記憶された出力信号
特性を用いて、前記出力差検出手段より出力され
る時間的積分値Diに対応する、インク滴の、ノ
ズル配列方向における実際の飛翔位置xi′を算
出するxi′算出手段と、 各ノズルより噴出されるインク滴の、ノズル配
列方向における理想的飛翔位置xiが記憶された
xi記憶手段と、 前記xi′算出手段より算出されるxi′、お
よび前記xi記憶手段に記憶されたxiの差を算
出することにより各ノズルの方向性誤差δxiを
算出するδxi算出手段とを備えたことを特徴と
する前記実用新案登録請求の範囲第1項記載のイ
ンクジエツトプリンタの飛翔液滴検出装置。 (3) 前記ドロツプセンサは、複数のノズルより
噴射されるインク滴の理想的飛翔経路を含む面と
平行に、前記飛翔経路を照明するように配置され
た光源、および該光源と対向するように配置され
たフオトデイテクタ対より成り、 前記方向性誤差算出手段は、 前記出力特性記憶手段内に記憶された出力信号
特性を用いて、前記出力差検出手段より出力され
る時間的積分値Diに対応する、インク滴の、ノ
ズル配列方向と垂直方向における実際の飛翔位置
zi′を、ノズルの方向性誤差δziとして算出
するzi′算出手段を備えたことを特徴とする前
記実用新案登録請求の範囲第1項記載のインクジ
エツトプリンタの飛翔液滴検出装置。 (4) 前記出力特性記憶手段に記憶されるフオト
デイテクタ対の出力信号特性は、前記出力差検出
手段より出力される時間的積分値Di、および各
ノズルより噴射されるインク滴の、ノズル配列方
向の理想的飛翔位置xiを用いて、近似的に算出
されることを特徴とする前記実用新案登録請求の
範囲第1項あるいは第2項記載のインクジエツト
プリンタの飛翔液滴検出装置。 (5) 前記出力特性記憶手段に記憶されるフオト
デイテクタ対の出力信号特性は、その特性曲線の
中央部が一次関数として近似されることにより算
出されることを特徴とする前記実用新案登録請求
の範囲第4項記載のインクジエツトプリンタの飛
翔液滴検出装置。 (6) 前記出力特性記憶手段に記憶されるフオト
デイテクタ対の出力信号特性は、あらかじめ実験
により求められたことを特徴とする前記実用新案
登録請求の範囲第1項ないし第3項のいずれかに
記載のインクジエツトプリンタの飛翔液滴検出装
置。
