Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve printing quality with a paper feed gear not being influenced by the decentering or surface precision of a locking cam by forming the end where locking operation begins of the locking cam at a higher level than the other part. CONSTITUTION:The end 205 of a locking can 204 is formed at a level higher than the other part of said cam by (a). As a result, when a paper feed drive gear 2 rotates to start a printing process, a paper feed gear 1 is locked by means of the locking cam 204. However, the teeth 103 of the paper feed gear 1 and the locking cam 204 leave a clearance between them by (a). Consequently, no unncessary friction load is brought to bear on the paper feed drive gear 2 and the paper feed gear 1 is not adversely affected by the decentering or surface precision. Thus printing quality can be improved.
