Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide the title ceramics having extremely powerful radiation intensity all over the wavelength range of far infrared rays by using a specifically composed mixture of SiO2, Al2O3, Fe2O3, TiO2, MnO, CaO, MgO. CONSTITUTION:A starting mixture materials of 55-70wt.% of SiO2, 10-20wt.% of Al2O3, 3-10wt.% of Fe2O3, and 1-20wt.% of TiO2+MnO+CaO+MgO are wet-mixed, dehydrated, dried, pulverized and calcined at 300-1,200 deg.C, and crushed to give the title ceramic in the powder form. When needed, it is formed in a desired shape, and calcined to give the title ceramic of a variety of shapes.
