Claims (4)
- 데이터 버퍼; 가변 길이 디코더 (a variable length decoder); 역양자화기 (a dequantizer); 역이산 코사인 변환 디코더 (an inverse discrete cosine transform decoder); 움직임 보상기 (a motion compensator); 가산기가 그 위에 있는 4개의 폴딩된 병렬 곱셈기 유닛을 갖고, 디스플레이 출력 프로세싱을 하기 위한 다위상 유한 임펄스 응답 수평 디지탈 필터; 디스플레이 유닛 비디오 출력; 및 제어기를 포함하는 디지탈 비디오 레코더에 있어서, 가산기를 그 위에 갖고 있는 상기 폴딩된 병렬 곱셈기 유닛 각각은, 출력이 상기 곱셈기 유닛의 승수 입력으로 들어가는 폴딩 직렬 가산기를 구비하며, 상기 디코더는 어레이 형태로 배치된 4-2 카운터를 더 포함하고, 상기 4개의 곱셈기 각각이 상기 4-2 카운터의 선가산부(pre-additon portion)를 위한 하나의 부분곱을 제공하는 디지탈 비디오 디코더.
- 제1항에 있어서, 휘도 샘플에 대한 크로미넌스 샘플 배치를 제어하기 위한 다수의 위상 (multiple phases)을 갖는 디지탈 비디오 디코더.
- 디코더에서 휘도 샘플 및 크로미넌스 샘플을 갖고 있는 디지탈 비디오 데이터 스트림을 디코딩하여 출력 비디오 디스플레이를 구하는 방법에 있어서, 상기 디코더의 버퍼에서 상기 데이터 스트림을 수신하는 단계와, 상기 데이터 스트림을 가변 길이 디코딩하는 단계와, 상기 디코딩된 데이터 스트림을 역양자하는 단계와, 상기 역양자화된 데이터 스트림을 역이산 코사인 변환하는 단계와, 상기 역이산 코사인 변환된 데이타 스트림을 움직임 보상하는 단계와, 곱셈 연산에 선행하는 폴딩 직렬 가산기를 통하여 4-2 카운터와 4개조 병렬로 컨볼루션 곱셈을 수행함으로써 상기 움직임 보상된 데이터 스트림의 화소의 컨볼루션 합을 발생시켜서 출력 비디오 디스플레이를 확장시키는 단계를 포함하는 방법.
- 제3항에 있어서, 디코더를 초기화하는 단계를 포함하며, MPEG-2 데이터 스트림을 위한 크로미넌스 샘플의 시작 위상이 크로미넌스 샘플을 그 대응하는 휘도 샘플에 대하여 정확하게 배치되게 해주는 방법.
