Abstract

본 발명은 조수석측 윈드실드에 4절 아암을 설치하여 전방시야를 보다 광범위하게 확보함으로써 안전운행을 도모할 수 있는 조수석용 4절 와이퍼 아암에 관한 것으로, 이 조수석용 4절 와이퍼 아암은 와이퍼 링크에 결합되는 제 1결합홀(24)을 지닌 제 1아암 헤드(20)와, 이 제 1아암 헤드(20)와 나란한 방향으로 배치되며 와이퍼 링크에 결합되는 제 2결합홀(34)을 지닌 제 2아암 헤드(30)와, 제 1 및 제 2힌지핀(22, 32)에 의해서 제 1아암 헤드(20)와 제 2아암 헤드(30)에 유동 가능하게 결합되는 연결링크(10)와, 일단은 연결링크(10)에 결합되고 타단은 아암 피스(18)를 개재하여 와이퍼 블레이드(40)와 결합되는 리테이너(12)와, 이 리테이너(12)에 누름압을 제공하여 와이퍼 블레이드(40)가 윈드실드의 표면에 밀착된 상태를 유지하도록 하는 아암 스프링(14)으로 구성된다.

Description

조수석용 4절 와이퍼 아암{FOUR LINK TYPE WIPER ARM FOR AN AUTOMOBILE}
본 발명은 조수석용 4절 와이퍼 아암에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는, 조수석측 윈드실드에 4절 아암을 설치하여 전방시야를 보다 광범위하게 확보함으로써안전운행을 도모할 수 있는 조수석용 4절 와이퍼 아암에 관한 것이다.
통상적으로, 자동차의 전면에는 주행 중에 전방에서 불어오는 바람이나 빗물의 유입을 막기 위한 윈드실드가 끼워져 있다. 이 윈드실드의 표면에 먼지나 흙이 쌓이게 되면 전방의 시야를 확보하는데 많은 어려움이 있으며, 특히, 눈이나 비가 오는 지역을 운행할 경우에는 윈드실드의 표면에 있는 물기를 빨리 제거해야 전방을 주시할 수 있다. 이를 위해서 자동차에는 와이퍼 장치가 구비되어 있어, 윈드실드 표면에 있는 먼지나 빗물 등을 제거할 수 있다.
도 1은 종래의 조수석용 와이퍼 아암을 나타낸 단면도이다. 여기에 도시된 와이퍼 아암의 구성을 보면, 와이퍼 플레이트 장착부를 갖는 아암 피스(5)를 일단측에 고정한 리테이너(4)와, 일단측에 리테이너(4)의 타단축이 회동 가능하게 연결됨과 동시에, 타단측에 피봇축 연결부(2a)를 구비한 아암 헤드(2)와, 리테이터(4)와 아암 헤드(2)의 사이에서 장력을 부여하는 아암 스프링(6)과, 이 아암 스프링(6)을 아암 헤드(2)에 연결시키는 연결후크(7)로 이루어져 있으며, 리테이너(4)는 핀(3)에 의해서 아암 헤드(2)에 회동 가능하게 결합된다.
또한, 리테이너(4)에는 아암 스프링(6)의 일단(6b)이 걸어맞춤되는 스프링 걸림부가 형성되어 있으며, 연결후크(7)의 일단(7b)은 아암 스프링(6)의 일단(6a)에 연결되고 타단(7a)은 아암 헤드(2)에 연결되어 있다.
이러한 구성을 지닌 종래의 와이퍼 아암은 조수석측의 윈드실드 상을 이동하면서 빗물이나 이물질을 제거하는 과정에서 피봇축을 중심으로 항상 일정한 궤적을 따라 이동하므로 전방시야를 충분히 확보할 수 없는 문제가 있다.
이와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위한 본 발명은 조수석측의 윈드실드에 4절 와이퍼 아암을 설치함으로써, 보다 광범위한 영역까지 이물질 및 빗물을 제거하여 전방시야를 충분히 확보할 수 있는 조수석용 4절 와이퍼 아암을 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다.

상술한 목적을 달성하기 위한 본 발명의 조수석용 4절 와이퍼 아암은 와이퍼 모터에 의해 작동되는 와이퍼 링크에 의해 회동되면서 와이퍼 블레이드를 작동시키는 차량용 와이퍼장치에 있어서, 와이퍼 링크에 결합되는 제 1결합홀(24)을 지닌 제 1아암 헤드와, 제 1아암 헤드와 나란한 방향으로 배치되며 와이퍼 링크에 결합되는 제 2결합홀(34)을 지닌 제 2아암 헤드와, 제 1 및 제 2힌지핀(22, 32)에 의해서 제 1아암 헤드와 제 2아암 헤드에 유동 가능하게 결합되는 연결링크와, 일단은 연결링크에 결합되고 타단은 아암 피스를 개재하여 와이퍼 블레이드와 결합되는 리테이너와, 리테이너에 누름압을 제공하여 와이퍼 블레이드가 윈드실드의 표면에 밀착된 상태를 유지하도록 하는 아암 스프링으로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 한다.
이하, 첨부한 도 2와 도 3을 참조하여 본 발명의 바람직한 실시예에 따른 조수석용 4절 와이퍼 아암에 대하여 상세히 설명한다.
도 2는 본 발명의 조수석용 4절 와이퍼 아암의 구성을 보인 평면도이고, 도3은 본 발명의 조수석용 4절 와이퍼 아암의 구성을 보인 저면도이다.
먼저, 도 1에 도시된 바와 같이, 본 고안의 바람직한 실시예에 따른 조수석용 4절 와이퍼 아암의 전체적인 구성을 보면, 제 1아암 헤드(20) 및 제 2아암 헤드(30)와, 이들 제 1아암 헤드(20) 및 제 2아암 헤드(30)와 작동적으로 결합되어 있는 연결링크(10)와, 연결링크(10)의 일단에 결합되는 리테이너(12)와, 이 리테이너(12)의 선단에 고정된 아암 피스(18)로 이루어져 있으며, 아암 피스(18)의 선단에는 와이퍼 블레이드(40)가 회동 가능하게 끼워져 있다. 또한, 제 1아암 헤드(20)의 하단에는 와이퍼 링크에 결합되는 제 1체결홀(24)이 형성되어 있으며, 제 2아암 헤드(30)의 하단에는 와이퍼 링크에 결합되는 제 2체결홀(34)이 형성되어 있다.
다음에, 도 2를 보면, 연결링크(10)에는 제 1 및 제 2힌지핀(22, 32)을 통해서 제 1아암 헤드(20)와 제 2아암 헤드(30)가 유동 가능하게 결합되어 있다. 또한, 본 발명의 4절식 와이퍼 아암에 있어서, 하부에는 리테이너(12)에 누름압을 제공하여 와이퍼 블레이드(40)가 윈드실드의 표면에 밀착된 상태를 유지하도록 하는 아암 스프링(14)이 추가로 구비되어 있다. 이 아암 스프링(14)의 일단은 후크(16)를 개재하여 연결링크(10)에 고정되어 있으며, 타단은 리테이너(12)의 밑면에 형성된 구멍에 결합된다.
이러한 구성의 4절 와이퍼 아암에 있어서, 조립시에 제 1아암 헤드(20)는 하단에 형성된 제 1체결홀(24)을 통해서 와이퍼 링크에 결합되며, 제 2아암 헤드(30)는 제 2체결홀(34)을 통해서 와이퍼 링크에 결합된다. 또한, 이들 제 1아암 헤드(20)와 제 2아암 헤드(30)는 각각, 제 1힌지핀(22)과 제 2힌지핀(32)을 개재하여 연결링크(10)에 결합됨으로써, 작동시에 와이퍼 아암이 이루는 각도를 가변시킬 수 있다.
즉, 와이퍼 모터의 작동으로 와이퍼 링크가 회동되면서 제 1아암 헤드(20)를 회전시키면, 이 과정에서 제 2아암 헤드(30)에 의해 와이퍼 아암의 이동 궤적이 가변되면서 와이퍼 블레이드(40)가 회동하기 시작한다. 이때, 와이퍼 블레이드(40)가 조수석측 윈드실드의 코너부에 위치하였을 때에 와이퍼 아암이 최대로 연신되어 궤적이 최대가 되도록 함으로써 코너부에 있는 빗물이나 이물질까지도 제거할 수 있다.
이상으로 설명한 본 발명에 의하면, 조수석측의 윈드실드에 2개의 아암 헤드를 지닌 4절 와이퍼 아암을 설치함으로써, 보다 광범위한 영역에 있는 이물질이나 빗물을 제거하여 전방시야를 충분히 확보할 수 있는 이점이 있다. 특히, 조수석측 윈드실드의 코너부에서 와이퍼 아암의 길이가 확장되므로 코너부의 빗물이나 먼지를 제거하여 조수석에 앉아있는 탑승자에게 보다 넓은 시야를 제공하는 것이 가능하다.

Claims (1)

  1. 와이퍼 링크에 결합되는 제 1결합홀(24)을 지닌 제 1아암 헤드(20)와;
    제 1아암 헤드(20)와 나란한 방향으로 배치되며 와이퍼 링크에 결합되는 제 2결합홀(34)을 지닌 제 2아암 헤드(30)와; 제 1 및 제 2힌지핀(22, 32)에 의해서 제 1아암 헤드(20)와 제 2아암 헤드(30)에 유동 가능하게 결합되는 연결링크(10)와; 일단은 연결링크(10)에 결합되고 타단은 아암피스(18)를 개재하여 와이퍼 블레이드(40)와 결합되는 리테이너(12)들로 구성되어서 와이퍼 모터에 의해 작동되는 와이퍼링크가 제 1아암헤드(20)를 회전시키고 이 과정에서 제 2아암헤드(30)가 와이퍼 아암의 이동 궤적을 가변시켜 와이퍼 블레이드(40)를 회동시키는 와이퍼 장치에 있어서,
    일측을 아암피스(18)에 고정하고 타측을 연결링크(10)에 연결한 스프링(10)을 구비한 리테이너(12)로 구성시킨 것을 특징으로하는 조수석용 4절 와이퍼 아암.
