Claims (4)
- 각 서브필드가 리셋기간, 어드레스기간 및 유지기간으로 분할되어 구동되는 플라즈마 표시소자의 구동방법에 있어서,상기 유지기간동안 하나의 셀에서 2번의 유지방전이 수행되며, 상기 2번의 유지방전은 주사/유지전극에 양의 전압레벨을 갖는 펄스를 인가함과 동시에 제1 공통유지전극에 음의 전압레벨을 갖는 펄스를 인가하여 수행되는 제1 유지방전과, 상기 주사/유지전극에 음의 전압레벨을 갖는 펄스를 인가함과 동시에 제2 공통유지전극에 양의 전압레벨을 갖는 펄스를 인가하며, 상기 제1 유지방전에 비해 낮은 전압으로 수행되는 제2 유지방전으로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 표시소자 구동방법.

- 하부기판에 형성된 어드레스전극과,상기 어드레스전극과 대향하도록 상부기판에 형성되며, 제1 유지방전시에는 양의 전압레벨을 갖는 펄스가 인가되며, 제1 유지방전에 비해 낮은 전압으로 수행되는 제2 유지방전시에는 음의 전압레벨을 갖는 펄스가 인가되는 주사/유지전극과,상기 주사/유지전극의 좌우에 평행하게 형성되며, 상기 제1 유지방전시 음의 전압레벨을 갖는 펄스가 인가되는 제1 공통유지전극과, 제1 유지방전에 비해 낮은 전압으로 수행되는 상기 제2 유지방전시 양의 전압레벨을 갖는 펄스가 인가되는 제2 공통유지전극을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 표시소자.
