- 한쌍의 기판 중 한쪽의 내측면에, 방전셀의 영역이 되는 표시라인의 간격을 두고 수평방향으로 배열된 복수의 주전극과,한쌍의 기판 중 다른쪽의 내측면에, 주전극과 교차하는 방향으로 표시라인과의 교차부에 제1 방전셀을 형성하는 제1 전극과 표시라인과의 교차부에 제2 방전셀을 형성하는 제2 전극을 1조로 한 것이 수직방향으로 배열된 복수조의 선택용 전극과,한쌍의 기판 사이에 형성되는 방전공간을 구획하고, 기수(奇數)번째의 표시라인과 제2 선택용 전극과의 교차부로부터 우수(偶數)번째의 표시라인과 제1 선택용 전극과의 교차부에 걸쳐서 배치된 리브를 구비하여 이루어지는 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널을 구동할 때에,방전셀의 선택 시에는 기수번째의 표시라인에 위치하는 방전셀과 우수번째의 표시라인에 위치하는 방전셀을 동시에 선택하고,방전셀의 점등 시에는 기수번째의 표시라인에 위치하는 방전셀과 우수번째의 표시라인에 위치하는 방전셀을 동시에 점등시켜서 이루어지며,기수번째의 표시라인에 위치하는 방전셀과 우수번째의 표시라인에 위치하는 방전셀의 동시 선택이, 어떤 1개의 주전극이 주사된 때에, 이 주전극과 교차하는 제1 선택용 전극과 제2 선택용 전극에 동시에 선택전압을 인가하여 방전을 발생시킴으로써 행해지는 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널의 구동방법.
- 제11항에 있어서,기수번째의 표시라인에는 1프레임을 기수 필드와 우수 필드로 분할한 경우의 기수 필드에 대응하는 내용을 표시하고, 우수번째의 표시라인에는 우수 필드에 대응하는 내용을 표시하는 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널의 구동방법.
- 제11항에 있어서,방전셀의 선택 시에는 우수번째의 주전극을 주사전극으로 사용하여 순차적으로 주사전압을 인가해 가는 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널의 구동방법.

- 제11항에 있어서,기수번째의 표시라인에 위치하는 방전셀과 우수번째의 표시라인에 위치하는 방전셀의 동시 점등이, 우수번째의 주전극으로부터 이 주전극에 인접하는 2개의 기수번째의 주전극을 향한 방전을 동시에 발생시키고, 다음에 그 역방향으로 동시에 방전을 발생시킴으로써 행해지는 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널의 구동방법.
- 한쌍의 기판 중 한쪽의 내측면에, 방전셀의 영역이 되는 표시라인의 간격을 두고 수평방향으로 배열된 복수의 주전극과,한쌍의 기판 중 다른쪽의 내측면에, 주전극과 교차하는 방향으로 표시라인과의 교차부에 제1 방전셀을 형성하는 제1 전극과 표시라인과의 교차부에 제2 방전셀을 형성하는 제2 전극을 1조로 한 것이 수직방향으로 배열된 복수조의 선택용 전극과,한쌍의 기판 사이에 형성되는 방전공간을 구획하고, 기수번째의 표시라인과 제2 선택용 전극과의 교차부로부터 우수번째의 표시라인과 제1 선택용 전극과의 교차부에 걸쳐서 배치된 리브를 구비하여 이루어지는 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널을 구동할 때에,1프레임을 어드레스기간과 점등유지방전기간으로 되는 복수의 서브필드로 분할하고,각 서브필드의 어드레스기간에서는, 1개 걸러서 주전극을 주사하여, 주사시에 선택되는 1개의 주전극과 이 주전극에 대하여 교차하는 동일 리브 공간 내의 2개의 선택용 전극 사이에서 어드레싱용의 방전을 동시에 발생시키고,점등유지방전기간에서는, 어드레싱용의 방전에 의해서 발생한 전하를 이용하여, 1개의 주전극과 이 주전극에 인접하는 동일 리브 공간 내의 주전극 사이에서 점등유지방전을 동시에 발생시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널의 구동방법.
