상기 항균성 시험은 한국의류시험연구원에서 시험되었고(KATRI NO : JJAA12-00000288, 2012. 2. 24. JJAA12-00000222, 2012. 3. 5. JJAA12-00000360, 2012. 3. 21. JJAA12-00000223, 2012. 3. 21.), 가공처리된 원단에 황색포도상구균과 폐렴균을 묻혀서 균이 얼마나 죽는지에 대한 실험으로서, 미처리원단에 비해 피톤치드 캡슐에 각 보습가공제를 혼합 제조하여 처리한 원단에서 항균도가 99.9%인 점을 확인함에 따라 피톤치드 캡슐과 보습가공제로 된 상기 조성물은 항균성이 매우 높다는 것을 알 수 있다.
