Claims (7)
- 컬러필터 어레이, 공통전극 및 제1 배향막이 순차적으로 배치된 컬러필터 어레이기판과, 박막트랜지스터 어레이, 화소전극 및 제2 배향막이 순차적으로 배치된 박막트랜지스터 어레이기판 및 상기 컬러필터 어레이기판 및 박막트랜지스터 어레이 기판 사이에 OCB 모드의 액정분자들이 배향된 액정층을 포함하는 OCB모드 액정표시장치의 구동방법에 있어서,상기 화소전극과 공통전극 각각에 인가되어 스플레이 상태에서 밴드 I 상태로 전이되도록 하는 초기전압을 상기 화소전극과 상기 공통전극 사이의 제1 전위차를 유지하는 제1 온 상태, 10~50ms의 시간 동안 0V 전위차를 유지하는 제1 오프 상태, 제2 전위차를 유지하는 제2 온 상태 및 10~50ms의 시간 동안 0V 전위차를 유지하는 제2 오프 상태의 순서이고 반복적으로 진행하고,상기 제1 및 제2 오프상태를 기준으로 상기 제1 전위차는 양 전압이고, 상기 제2 전위차는 음 전압인 OCB모드 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제1 항에 있어서,상기 제1 온상태는 상기 화소전극과 공통전극 사이의 전압차가 10V이고, 상기 제2 온상태는 상기 화소전극과 공통전극 사이의 전압차가 -10V인 것을 특징으로 하는 OCB모드 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제2 항에 있어서,상기 제1 및 제2 온상태에서의 화소전극과 공통전극 중 어느 하나는 0V인 것을 특징으로 하는 OCB모드 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
- 삭제
- 제1 항에 있어서,상기 초기전압의 제1 온 상태는 상기 액정층의 일영역에 전이핵을 생성하고, 제2 온 상태는 상기 액정층의 일영역 및 다른 일영역에 전이핵을 생성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 OCB모드 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제1 항에 있어서, 상기 초기전압의 제1 및 제2 오프상태는상기 온상태에서 생성된 전이핵을 유지시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 OCB모드 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
