Abstract
본 발명은 다음을 포함하는 전기화학반응기를 위한 활성층에 관한 것이다:
- 담체로서 풀러렌이 아닌 카본 전자 전도체; 및
- 하나 이상의 금속들 및 풀러렌으로 구성된 촉매 시스템.
본 발명은 또한 이러한 활성층을 집적한 전기화학반응기에 관한 것이다.
Description
도 1은 PEMFC 타입 연료전지의 작동 원리를 나타낸 도면이다.
도 2는 PEM 전해조의 작동 원리를 나타낸 도면이다.
도 3은 회전 전극에서의 산소 환원에 있어 Pt4C60 메탈로 풀러렌의 전기화학적 성능의 향상을 나타낸다.
도 4는 회전 전극에서의 산소 환원에 있어 Pd10C60 메탈로 풀러렌의 전기화학적 성능의 향상을 나타낸다.
도 5는 회전 전극에서의 산소 환원에 있어 풀러렌 상의 감소된 플라티늄(20%)의 전기화학적 성능의 향상을 나타낸다.
도 6a는 카본 담체를 위한 보호층으로서 소수성의 전자적 도전성 폴리머의 사용에 기반한 제1 실시예를 나타내는 단면도이고, 도 6b는 전자 현미경 단면도이다.
도 7a는 카본 담체를 위한 보호층으로서 풀러렌의 사용에 기반한 제2 실시예로서 촉매가 입자 형태로 용착된 것을 나타내는 단면도이고, 도 7b는 촉매가 층의 형태로서 용착된 것을 나타내는 단면도이다.
도 8은 카본 담체 및 촉매 시스템을 위한 보호층의 역할을 수행하는, 도핑된 풀러렌의 사용에 기반한 제3 실시예를 나타내는 단면도이다.
도 9a는 SO3 - -기능화-풀러렌과 비교하여 메탈로 풀러렌에 의해 보호된 카본 블랙의 경우에 있어 전지의 포텐셜을 나타내고, 도 9b는 카본 손실을 나타낸다.

Claims (13)
- 활성층(active layer)을 포함하는 전기화학반응기로서,
상기 활성층은 (a) 담체로서 풀러렌(fullerene)이 아닌 카본 전자 전도체 및 (b) 프로톤(proton) 친화기(affinity group)를 갖지 않는, 풀러렌 및 하나 또는 그 이상의 금속으로 구성된 촉매 시스템(catalytic system)을 포함하고,
상기 촉매 시스템은 상기 담체에 연속적으로 용착(deposit)되는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기화학반응기. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 풀러렌은 기능화되지 않은 풀러렌 또는 메탈로 풀러렌(metallo fullerene)인 것을 특징으로 하는 전기화학반응기. - 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,
상기 촉매 시스템은 메탈로 풀러렌으로 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 전기화학반응기. - 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,
상기 하나 이상의 금속은 상기 촉매 시스템을 구성하기 위해, 상기 풀러렌에 용착(deposit)되는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기화학반응기. - 제4항에 있어서,
상기 하나 이상의 금속은 입자(particle) 형태 또는 층(layer)의 형태인 것을 특징으로 하는 전기화학반응기. - 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,
상기 전기화학반응기는 연료전지 또는 전해조(electrolyser)인 것을 특징으로 하는 전기화학반응기. - 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,
상기 카본 전자 전도체는 카본 블랙(carbon black)인 것을 특징으로 하는 전기화학반응기. - 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,
상기 카본 전자 전도체는 질량비로 5~50%를 차지하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기화학반응기. - 삭제
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,
상기 담체는 상기 촉매 시스템으로 완전히 코팅되는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기화학반응기. - 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,
상기 하나 이상의 금속들은 플라티늄(Pt) 및 팔라듐(Pd)을 포함하는 그룹으로부터 선택되는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기화학반응기. - 제5항에 있어서,
상기 하나 이상의 금속은 나노미터 크기의 입자 형태인 것을 특징으로 하는 전기화학반응기. - 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,
상기 카본 전자 전도체는 질량비로 20~30%를 차지하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기화학반응기.
