Description
Claims (23)
- 프로그램의 성능을 모니터링하는 방법에 있어서,a) 선택된 이벤트 발생을 검출하는 단계;b) 상기 선택된 이벤트의 검출에 응답하여, 프로그램과 연관된 호출 스택(call stack)을 식별하는 단계;c) 상기 프로그램과 관련하여 현재 실행 중인 각 루틴을 식별하기 위해 호출 스택을 검사하는 단계; 및d) 각 루틴을 트리 구조의 노드로 표시하는 단계를 포함하는 프로그램 성능 모니터링 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서,각 루틴의 실행과 관련된 정보를 상기 루틴을 표시하는데 사용되는 노드와 연관시키는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 프로그램 성능 모니터링 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 실행과 관련된 정보가 기능 명칭 + 오프셋을 포함하는 프로그램 성능 모니터링 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서,현재 실행 중인 각 루틴을 식별하는 보고서를 생성하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 프로그램 성능 모니터링 방법.
- 제 4항에 있어서,상기 생성 단계가 호출 스택이 검사될 때마다 발생하는 프로그램 성능 모니터링 방법.
- 제 4항에 있어서,상기 생성 단계가 프로그램 실행이 종료된 후에 발생하는 프로그램 성능 모니터링 방법.
- 제 4항에 있어서,상기 보고서가 트리 구조 포맷으로 되어 있는 프로그램 성능 모니터링 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 선택된 이벤트가 이벤트 타이머(event timer)인 프로그램 성능 모니터링 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 호출 스택 검사 단계가a) 상기 호출 스택―여기서 호출 스택은 주기적으로 발생하는 이벤트가 발생할 때 실행 중인 루틴의 목록임―을 판독하는 단계;b) 선택된 루틴이 상기 트리 구조 내에서 발견되는지의 여부를 결정하는 단계; 및c) 상기 선택된 루틴이 트리 구조에 존재하지 않는다는 결정에 응답하여 어드레스용으로 사용되는 새로운 노드―여기서 새로운 노드는 또 다른 어드레스를 표시하는 부모 노드로부터 파생된 자식 노드임―를 상기 트리 구조에 추가하는 단계를 포함하는 프로그램 성능 모니터링 방법.
- 제 9항에 있어서,상기 루틴의 목록은 복수의 어드레스이며, 복수의 어드레스 내의 각 어드레스는 엔트리 지점 또는 루틴 내의 다른 오프셋을 식별하는 프로그램 성능 모니터링 방법.
- 프로그램의 성능을 모니터링하는 데이터 처리 시스템에 있어서,a) 선택된 이벤트 발생을 검출하는 검출 수단;b) 상기 선택된 이벤트의 검출에 응답하여, 프로그램과 연관된 호출 스택(call stack)을 식별하는 식별 수단;c) 상기 프로그램과 관련하여 현재 실행 중인 각 루틴을 식별하기 위해 호출 스택을 검사하는 검사 수단; 및d) 각 루틴을 트리 구조의 노드로 표시하는 표시 수단을 포함하는 프로그램 성능 모니터링용 데이터 처리 시스템.
- 제 11항에 있어서,각 루틴의 실행과 관련된 정보를 상기 루틴을 표시하는데 사용되는 노드와 연관시키는 연관 수단을 추가로 포함하는 프로그램 성능 모니터링용 데이터 처리 시스템.
- 제 11항에 있어서,현재 실행 중인 각 루틴을 식별하는 보고서를 생성하는 생성 수단을 추가로 포함하는 프로그램 성능 모니터링용 데이터 처리 시스템.
- 제 13항에 있어서,상기 생성 수단은 호출 스택이 검사될 때마다 활성화되는 프로그램 성능 모니터링용 데이터 처리 시스템.
- 제 13항에 있어서,상기 생성 수단은 프로그램 실행이 종료된 후에 활성화되는 프로그램 성능 모니터링용 데이터 처리 시스템.
- 제 13항에 있어서,상기 보고서가 트리 구조 포맷으로 되어 있는 프로그램 성능 모니터링용 데이터 처리 시스템.
- 제 11항에 있어서,상기 선택된 이벤트가 이벤트 타이머(event timer)인 프로그램 성능 모니터링용 데이터 처리 시스템.
- 제 11항에 있어서,상기 검사 수단이a) 상기 호출 스택―여기서 호출 스택은 주기적으로 발생하는 이벤트가 발생할 때 실행 중인 루틴의 목록임―을 판독하는 판독 수단;b) 선택된 루틴이 상기 트리 구조 내에서 발견되는지의 여부를 결정하는 결정 수단; 및c) 상기 선택된 루틴이 트리 구조에 존재하지 않는다는 결정에 응답하여 어드레스용으로 사용되는 새로운 노드―여기서 새로운 노드는 또 다른 어드레스를 표시하는 부모 노드로부터 파생된 자식 노드임―를 상기 트리 구조에 추가하는 추가 수단을 포함하는 프로그램 성능 모니터링용 데이터 처리 시스템.
- 제 17항에 있어서,상기 루틴의 목록은 복수의 어드레스이며, 복수의 어드레스 내의 각 어드레스는 엔트리 지점 또는 루틴 내의 다른 오프셋을 식별하는 프로그램 성능 모니터링용 데이터 처리 시스템.
- 프로그램의 성능을 모니터링하는 데이터 처리 시스템에 사용되는 컴퓨터 프로그램 제품에 있어서,a) 주기적으로 발생하는 이벤트를 검출하는 제 1 인스트럭션;b) 상기 주기적으로 발생하는 이벤트의 검출에 응답하여, 프로그램과 연관된 호출 스택(call stack)을 식별하는 제 2 인스트럭션;c) 상기 프로그램과 관련하여 현재 실행 중인 각 루틴을 식별하기 위해 호출 스택을 검사하는 제 3 인스트럭션; 및d) 각 루틴을 트리 구조의 노드로 표시하는 제 4 인스트럭션을 포함하는 컴퓨터 프로그램 제품.
- 제 20항에 있어서,각 루틴의 실행과 관련된 정보를 상기 루틴을 표시하는데 사용되는 노드와 연관시키는 제 5 인스트럭션을 추가로 포함하는 컴퓨터 프로그램 제품.
- 제 20항에 있어서,현재 실행 중인 각 루틴을 식별하는 보고서를 생성하는 제 5 인스트럭션을 추가로 포함하는 컴퓨터 프로그램 제품.
- 제 20항에 있어서,상기 호출 스택을 검사하는 제 3 인스트럭션이a) 상기 호출 스택―여기서 호출 스택은 주기적으로 발생하는 이벤트가 발생할 때 실행 중인 루틴의 목록임―을 판독하는 인스트럭션;b) 선택된 루틴이 상기 트리 구조 내에서 발견되는지의 여부를 결정하는 인스트럭션; 및c) 상기 선택된 루틴이 트리 구조에 존재하지 않는다는 결정에 응답하여 어드레스용으로 사용되는 새로운 노드―여기서 새로운 노드는 또 다른 어드레스를 표시하는 부모 노드로부터 파생된 자식 노드임―를 상기 트리 구조에 추가하는 인스트럭션을 포함하는 컴퓨터 프로그램 제품.
