Claims (13)
- 잉크젯 프린트 시스템(10)에 있어서,제어 신호에 반응해 잉크를 매체상에 배출하기 위한 프린터 부분(12)으로서, 상기 프린터 부분(12)은 잉크 서플라이를 수납하도록 구성되는, 상기 프린터 부분(12)과,상기 프린터 부분에 잉크 서플라이를 제공하기 위한 교체가능한 잉크 컨테이너(18)로서, 상기 교체가능한 잉크 컨테이너(18)는 변수를 상기 프린터 부분에 제공하기 위한 전기적 저장 장치(38)를 포함하며, 상기 전기적 저장 장치(38)는 다수의 잉크 컨테이너 체적 범위로부터 잉크 컨테이너 체적 범위를 선택하기 위한 잉크 컨테이너 스케일 변수와, 상기 선택된 잉크 체적 범위를 위한 충전 비율을 명시하기 위한 충전 비율 변수를 포함하는, 상기 교체가능한 잉크 컨테이너(18)를 포함하며, 상기 프린터 부분(12)은 충전 비율 변수 및 선택된 잉크 체적 범위에 근거하여 잉크 컨테이너(18)와 연관된 잉크 체적을 결정하는잉크젯 프린트 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 잉크 컨테이너 스케일 변수는 2 비트 2진 값인잉크젯 프린트 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 충전 비율은 선택된 잉크 체적 범위의 비율을 명시하는 10 비트 2진 값인잉크젯 프린트 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 프린터 부분(12)은 다수의 잉크 체적 범위를 포함하며, 각 다수의 잉크 체적 범위는 그와 연관된 다수의 대응 잉크 컨테이너 체적 스케일 변수를 갖는잉크젯 프린트 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 교체가능한 잉크 컨테이너(18)는 전기적 저장 장치(38)를 포함하며, 상기 전기적 저장 장치(38)는 잉크 충전 변수 및 잉크 스케일 변수를 포함하는잉크젯 프린트 시스템.
- 잉크를 잉크젯 프린터(12)에 제공하기 위한 잉크 컨테이너(18)에 있어서,잉크 서플라이를 수납하는 저장소(28)와,잉크 컨테이너 변수를 잉크젯 프린터(12)에 제공하기 위한 전기적 저장 장치(38)를 포함하며, 상기 전기적 저장 장치(38)는 다수의 잉크 체적 범위로부터 잉크 체적 범위를 선택하기 위한 잉크 스케일 변수와, 상기 저장소(28)내의 잉크 서플라이와 연관된 선택된 잉크 체적 범위에 대한 충전 비율을 명시하기 위한 충전 비율 변수를 포함하는잉크 컨테이너.
- 제 6 항에 있어서,상기 잉크 컨테이너 스케일 변수는 2 비트 2진 값이며, 상기 충전 비율은 선택된 잉크 체적 범위의 비율을 명시하는 10 비트 2진 값인잉크 컨테이너.
- 제 6 항에 있어서,제어 신호에 반응해 잉크를 매체상에 배출하기 위한 프린터 부분(12)을 더 포함하며, 상기 프린터 부분은 상기 잉크 컨테이너를 수납하도록 및 잉크 스케일 변수 및 충전 비율 변수에 근거하여 상기 잉크 컨테이너와 연관된 잉크 체적을 결정하도록 구성되는잉크 컨테이너.
- 정보를 잉크젯 프린터(12)에 제공하도록 잉크 컨테이너(18)와 함께 사용하기 위한 전기적 저장 장치(38)에 있어서,상기 전기적 저장 장치(38)는 다수의 잉크 체적 범위로부터 잉크 체적 범위를 선택하기 위한 잉크 스케일 변수와,상기 선택된 잉크 체적 범위에 대한 충전 비율을 명시하기 위한 충전 비율 변수를 포함하는전기적 저장 장치.
- 제 9 항에 있어서,상기 잉크 컨테이너 스케일 변수는 2 비트 2진 값이며, 상기 충전 비율은 선택된 잉크 체적 범위의 비율을 명시하는 10 비트 2진 값인전기적 저장 장치.
- 전기적 저장 장치(38)내에 잉크 컨테이너 변수를 저장하기 위한 방법으로서, 잉크 컨테이너(18)와 연관된 상기 전기적 저장 장치(38)는 잉크의 체적을 수납하는, 상기 잉크 컨테이너 변수 저장 방법에 있어서,상기 잉크 서플라이를 위한 잉크 체적 범위와 연관된 잉크 스케일 변수(56)를 결정하는 단계와,상기 잉크 서플라이를 위한 충전 비율 변수(58)를 결정하는 단계와,상기 잉크 스케일 및 잉크 충전 변수(60)를 상기 전기적 저장 장치(38)내에 저장하는 단계를 포함하는잉크 컨테이너 변수 저장 방법.
- 제 11 항에 있어서,상기 잉크 컨테이너(18)를 잉크젯 프린터(12)내에 설치하여 상기 잉크젯 프린터(12)와 상기 전기적 저장 장치(38)간에 전기적 상호접속을 이루는 단계를 더 포함하는잉크 컨테이너 변수 저장 방법.
- 제 12 항에 있어서,상기 전기적 저장 장치(38)로부터 상기 잉크젯 프린터(12)로 상기 잉크 스케일 변수와 충전 비율 변수를 전송하는 단계를 더 포함하며, 상기 잉크젯 프린터(12)는 상기 잉크 스케일 변수와 충전 비율 변수에 근거하여 상기 잉크 컨테이너(18)와 연관된 잉크 체적을 결정하는잉크 컨테이너 변수 저장 방법.
