Claims (17)
- 선택된 파장과, 진동수 및 진폭으로 에너지를 부여하기 위한 회전식 음파 혼(10, 10', 10'', 30, 30' 50)으로서,축방향 입구단(11)과 축방향 출구단(13)을 구비하는 샤프트(12)와,상기 샤프트(12)에 장착되고 그 직경이 샤프트의 직경보다 큰 용접부(14)를 포함하며,상기 용접부는 음파 에너지의 적용에 따라 팽창 및 수축하는 직경을 가지는 용접면과, 제1 대향 단부(18) 및 제2 대향 단부(20)를 구비하며, 하나 이상의 단부에는 제1 언더컷(22)이 형성되어 있으며, 제1 언더컷의 폭과 깊이는 용접면에서 진동의 진폭을 제어하여 용접면의 축방향 길이를 따라 요구되는 진폭 프로파일을 제공하도록 선택되는 것을 특징으로 하는 회전식 음파 혼.
- 제1항에 있어서, 제1 언더컷(22)의 폭과 깊이는 용접면(16)에서 진동의 진폭에 영향을 끼치도록 선택되며, 이에 따라 용접면의 전체 축방향 길이를 따라 거의 균일하거나, 용접면의 축방향 단부에서 축방향 중앙에서 보다 크거나, 용접면의 축방향 중앙에서 축방향 단부에서 보다 크거나, 용접면의 일단부로부터 타단부로 갈수록 증가하는 진폭 프로파일 제공하며, 이들 진폭 프로파일중 어느 것이라도 얻을 수 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 회전식 음파 혼.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1 언더컷(22)의 내경은 샤프트(12)의 외경과 동일 공간에 있거나 동일 공간에 있지 않은 것을 특징으로 하는 회전식 음파 혼.
- 제1항에 있어서, 용접부의 타단부에는 제1 언더컷(24)이 또한 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 회전식 음파 혼.
- 제1항에 있어서, 제1 언더컷과 동일한 단부에 제2 언더컷(32, 34)을 또한 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 회전식 음파 혼.
- 제5항에 있어서, 제2 언더컷(32, 34)은 제1 언더컷(22, 24)보다 용접면(16)에 근접하며, 제2 언더컷(32, 34)은 제1 언더컷의 각각의 깊이 및 폭보다 크거나 작거나, 또는 동일한 폭과 깊이를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 회전식 음파 혼.
- 제1항에 있어서, 용접부(14)의 축방향 길이는 혼 재료의 파장의 1/2에 이를 수 있으며, 혼의 축방향 길이는 혼 재료의 한 파장(one wavelength)과 동일하거나 또는 혼 재료의 파장의 1/2보다 작은 것을 특징으로 하는 회전식 음파 혼.
- 제7항에 있어서, 샤프트(12)는 혼 재료의 한 파장보다 짧으며, 용접부(14)는 전체 혼을 바람직한 길이로 만들도록 샤프트의 단부를 넘어서 연장하도록 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 회전식 음파 혼.
- 제7항에 있어서, 혼의 출구단에서 샤프트 연장부(37)를 또한 구비하며, 샤프트 연장부는 혼 재료의 1/2 파장의 복수 배의 거리 만큼 용접부를 넘어서 연장하는 것을 특징으로 하는 회전식 음파 혼.
- 제1항에 있어서, 샤프트(12)와 용접부(14)는 원통형이며, 용접부는 샤프트와 동축인 것을 특징으로 하는 회전식 음파 혼.
- 제1항에 있어서, 제1 언더컷(22, 24)은 샤프트의 둘레에서 연속적이거나 비연속적이며, 제1 언더컷의 깊이와 폭은 일정하거나 변화하는 것을 특징으로 하는 회전식 음파 혼.
- 제1항에 있어서, 용접면(16)의 팽창과 수축은 혼의 축방향 입구단(11)의 이동과 일치하며, 혼은 축방향 이동에 대해 2개의 마디점을 나타내는 것을 특징으로 하는 회전식 음파 혼.
- 제1항에 있어서, 용접면(16)의 팽창과 수축은 혼의 축방향 입구단(11)의 이동과 일치하지 않으며, 혼은 축방향 이동에 대해 1개의 마디점을 나타내는 것을 특징으로 하는 회전식 음파 혼.
- 제1항에 있어서, 혼의 입구단(11)에서의 질량을 변화시킴으로써 반경 방향의 용접면에서 게인을 변화시키는 수단(36)을 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 회전식 음파 혼.
- 제1항에 있어서, 샤프트(12)에 장착된 동축의 복수 개의 용접부(14)를 추가로 구비하며, 용접부는 서로 일정 간격 떨어져 있으며, 용접부는 서로 연속적으로 또는 평행하게 장착되는 것을 특징으로 하는 회전식 음파 혼.
- 제15항에 있어서, 인접 용접부(14)의 중앙점 사이의 거리는 혼 재료의 1/2 파장의 복수배 인 것을 특징으로 하는 회전식 음파 혼.
- 제15항에 있어서, 각 용접부(14)의 진동의 진폭은 인접 용접부의 진동의 진폭과 다른 것을 특징으로 하는 회전식 음파 혼.
