Description

Common Signal Circuit of Liquid Crystal Display

The present invention relates to a common signal circuit of a liquid crystal display device, and more particularly, to a common signal circuit of a liquid crystal display device capable of completely removing flicker.

In general, the liquid crystal display device is expected to form a huge market as a next-generation display device, the liquid crystal display technology is also significantly developed, and the display performance of the display is greatly improved.

However, as the liquid crystal display device tends to have a large area and a high capacity, the size of the thin film transistor is also increased, so that the shift of pixel voltage is generated by the parasitic capacitance of the thin film transistor.

As a result, the transmittance gradually decreases with time, thereby causing a phenomenon of flickering on the screen, which is called a flicker phenomenon.

Conventionally, in order to eliminate such a flicker phenomenon, the circuit portion for adjusting the center level of the common signal and the circuit portion for adjusting the amplitude of the common signal are simultaneously provided in the common signal (Vcom) circuit device to shift the pixel voltage. In this case, the center level and amplitude of the common signal are adjusted to prevent flicker.

However, the common signal circuit device of the liquid crystal display device has the following problems.

First, the center level adjusting circuit part and the amplitude adjusting part constituting the common signal circuit device simultaneously adjust the positive level and the negative level.

However, if the positive level and the negative level are simultaneously adjusted, flicker can be eliminated when the kickback voltage (ΔVp) in the positive frame and the kickback voltage in the negative frame are the same, but in most cases, the positive frame and the negative frame are removed. Since the kickback voltage at is slightly different, flicker cannot be completely removed.

Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a common signal circuit of a liquid crystal display device capable of completely eliminating the flicker phenomenon.
