Claims (18)
- 제 1 전극을 갖는 투명한 제 1 기판과 제 2 전극을 갖는 투명한 제 2 기판과의 사이에 네마틱액정을 봉입하여 이루어지는 액정소자와, 해당 액정소자를 끼우고 그 양측에 설치한 1조의 편광판과, 그 한편의 편광판의 상기 액정소자와 반대측에 배치한 반사판으로 이루어지는 액정표시장치에 있어서,상기 액정소자에 의한 표시부가, 단일색으로 표시하는 문자표시부와, 복수색으로 표시하는 마크표시부를 가지며,상기 문자표시부의 상기 제 1 전극에는 주사신호를 인가하여, 상기 마크표시부의 상기 제 1 전극에는 데이터신호를 인가하고, 상기 문자표시부와 마크표시부의 제 2 전극에는 어느 것이나 데이터신호를 인가하여, 상기 액정소자를 구동하는 액정구동회로를 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 반사판이 반투과반사판이며, 해당 반투과반사판의 상기 액정소자와 반대측에 해당 반투과반사판을 통해서 상기 액정소자를 조명하는 백라이트장치를 설치한 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 액정소자와 그 시인측의 상기 편광판과의 사이에 위상차판을 설치한 액정표시장치.
- 제 2 항에 있어서, 상기 액정소자와 그 시인측의 상기 편광판과의 사이에 위상차판을 설치한 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 액정소자와 그 시인측의 상기 편광판과의 사이에 뒤틀림 위상차판을 설치한 액정표시장치.
- 제 2 항에 있어서, 상기 액정소자와 그 시인측의 상기 편광판과의 사이에 뒤틀림 위상차판을 설치한 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 액정소자는 상기 네마틱액정이 180°∼270°트위스트 배향하고 있는 STN 액정소자이며, 그 액정의 복굴절성인 Δn과, 해당 액정소자의 갭(d)과의 곱인 Δnd치가 1300nm∼1600nm인 액정표시장치.
- 제 2 항에 있어서, 상기 액정소자는 상기 네마틱액정이 180°∼270°트위스트 배향하고 있는 STN 액정소자이며, 그 액정의 복굴절성인 Δn과, 해당 액정소자의 갭(d)과의 곱인 Δnd치가 1300nm∼1600nm인 액정표시장치.
- 제 3 항에 있어서, 상기 액정소자는 상기 네마틱액정이 180°∼270°트위스트 배향하고 있는 STN 액정소자이며, 그 액정의 복굴절성인 Δn과, 해당 액정소자의 갭(d)과의 곱인 Δnd치가 1500nm∼180Onm이며, 상기 위상차판의 지연값이 1600 nm∼1900nm인 액정표시장치.
- 제 4 항에 있어서, 상기 액정소자는 상기 네마틱액정이 180°∼270°트위스트배향하고 있는 STN 액정소자이며, 그 액정의 복굴절성인 Δn과, 해당 액정소자의 갭(d)과의 곱인 Δnd치가 1500nm∼1800nm이며, 상기 위상차판의 지연값이 1600nm∼l900nm인 액정표시장치.
- 제 3 항에 있어서, 상기 위상차판이 지상축의 굴절율을 nx, 지상축과 수직방향의 굴절율을 ny, 두께 방향의 굴절율을 nz로 하였을 때, nx>nz>ny인 관계가 되는 위상차판인 액정표시장치.
- 제 4 항에 있어서, 상기 위상차판이 지상축의 굴절율을 nx, 지상축과 수직방향의 굴절율을 ny, 두께 방향의 굴절율을 nz로 하였을 때, nx>nz>ny의 관계가 되는 위상차판인 액정표시장치.
- 제 5 항에 있어서, 상기 액정소자는 상기 네마틱액정이 180°∼270°트위스트 배향하고 있는 STN 액정소자이며, 그 액정의 복굴절성인 Δn과, 해당 액정소자의 갭(d)과의 곱인 Δnd치가 1500nm∼1800nm이며, 상기 뒤틀림 위상차판의 Δnd치가 1400nm∼180Onm인 액정표시장치.
- 제 6 항에 있어서, 상기 액정소자는 상기 네마틱액정이 180°∼270°트위스트 배향하고 있는 STN 액정소자이며, 그 액정의 복굴절성인 Δn과, 해당 액정소자의 갭(d)과의 곱인 Δnd치가 1500nm∼1800nm이며, 상기 뒤틀림 위상차판의 Δnd치가 1400nm∼1800nm인 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 전극을 갖는 투명한 제 1 기판과 제 2 전극을 갖는 투명한 제 2 기판과의 사이에 네마틱액정을 봉입하여 이루어지는 제 1 액정소자와, 해당 제 1 액정소자를 끼우듯이 그 외측에 설치한 1조의 편광판과, 그 한편의 편광판의 상기 액정소자와 반대측에 배치한 반사판과로 이루어지는 제 1 액정표시장치와,제 1 전극을 갖는 투명한 제 1 기판과 제 2 전극을 갖는 투명한 제 2 기판과의 사이에 네마틱액정을 봉입하여 이루어지는 제 2 액정소자와, 해당 제 2 액정소자의 시인측에 설치한 제 3 편광판과 로 이루어져, 상기 제 1 액정표시장치의 시인측에 배치되는 제 2액정표시장치와,상기 제 1 액정소자의 제 1 전극에는 주사신호를 인가함과 동시에 상기 제 2 전극에는 데이터신호를 인가하고, 상기 제 2 액정소자의 제 1 전극 및 제 2 전극에는 데이터신호를 인가하여, 상기 제 1, 제 2 액정소자를 구동하는 액정구동회로로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 15항에 있어서, 상기 제 2 액정소자의 시인측과 반대측에 반사형편광판을 설치한 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 전극을 갖는 투명한 제 1 기판과 제 2 전극을 갖는 투명한 제 2 기판과의 사이에 네마틱액정을 봉입하여 이루어지는 액정소자와, 해당 액정소자를 끼우고 그 양측에 설치한 1조의 편광판과, 그 한편의 편광판의 상기 액정소자와 반대측에 배치한 반사판으로 이루어져, 그 표시부가, 단일색으로 표시하는 문자표시부와, 복수색으로 표시하는 마크표시부를 갖는 액정표시장치의 구동방법으로서,상기 문자표시부의 상기 제 1 전극에는 주사신호를 인가하여, 상기 마크표시부의 상기 제 1 전극에는 데이터신호를 인가하고, 상기 문자표시부와 마크표시부의 제 2 전극에는 어느 것이나 데이터신호를 인가하여, 상기 액정소자를 구동하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제 1 전극을 갖는 투명한 제 1 기판과 제 2 전극을 갖는 투명한 제 2 기판과의 사이에 네마틱액정을 봉입하여 이루어지는 제 1 액정소자와, 해당 제 l의 액정소자를 끼우듯이 그 외측에 설치한 1조의 편광판과, 그 한편의 편광판의 상기 액정소자와 반대측에 배치한 반사판과로 이루어지는 제 1 액정표시장치와,제 1 전극을 갖는 투명한 제 l의 기판과 제 2 전극을 갖는 투명한 제 2 기판과의 사이에 네마틱액정을 봉입하여 이루어지는 제 2 액정소자와, 해당 제 2 액정소자의 시인측에 설치한 제 3 편광판과로 이루어지고, 상기 제 l의 액정표시장치의 시인측에 배치되는 제 2 액정표시장치와로 이루어지는 액정표시장치의 구동방법에 있어서,상기 제 1 액정소자의 제 1 전극에는 주사신호를 인가함과 동시에 상기 제 2 전극에는 데이터신호를 인가하여, 상기 제 2 액정소자의 제 1 전극 및 제 2 전극에는 데이터신호를 인가하여, 상기 제 1, 제 2의 액정소자를 구동하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
