The parking lever switch is turned on by pulling the brake lever. The actuator is stopped while detecting resistance in the variable resistor mounted on the cable. The actuator is operated while turning off the parking lever switch or releasing the cable. The brake unit is actuated by operating the actuator to stop a vehicle. The auxiliary brake is released while turning on a starting key or releasing the parking brake.
