Abstract

본 발명은 차량용 범퍼 빔에 관한 것이며, 상세하게는 금속제 범퍼 빔에 관한 것으로서, 빔 본체의 후면 및 상·하면의 변형을 양호하게 억제하여 충격흡수를 양호하게 한 것이다.
본 발명은 강 또는 알루미늄 압출형재 등으로 제조되고 사다리꼴 유사 단면으로 된 박스형 빔 본체(1)의 공동에 가로방향으로 리브(2)를 일체로 형성하고, 상기 빔 본체(1)의 후면(3) 양측에 범퍼 스테이(4)를 설치한 것에 있어서, 상기 빔 본체(1)의 중앙부 후면(3)에서 상·하면(13)(13')에 이르도록 일정 길이로 되고 빔 본체 (1)와 동일재질로 된 단일 보강부재(14)를 상·하면(13)(13')에 리벳(15)으로 결합하여서 된 것이다.
상기한 보강부재(14)의 상·하면의 폭은 대략 빔 본체(1)의 상·하면(13) (13')의 중앙부 위치까지이면 좋다.

Description

차량용 범퍼 빔 {BUMPER BEAM FOR VEHICLE}
본 발명은 차량용 범퍼 빔에 관한 것이며, 상세하게는 금속제 범퍼 빔에 관한 것이다.
금속제 범퍼 빔은 압출형재로서 구조가 간단하고 충격흡수가 양호한 장점을 가지고 있는 바, 상기한 장점을 가진 금속제 범퍼 빔이 미국특허 제 6,003,012 호에 개시되어 있다.
상기한 금속제 범퍼 빔은 도 1 및 도 2에 도시한 바와 같이, 사다리꼴 유사단면으로 된 박스형 빔 본체(1)의 공동에 가로방향으로 리브(2)를 일체로 형성하고, 상기 빔 본체(1)의 외부 후면(3) 양측에 범퍼 스테이(4)를 설치함과 동시에 중앙부에 일정 길이의 보강부재(5)를 리벳(6)으로 결합하여 정면(화살표 방향)에서 충격이 가하여 지면 후면 변형을 억제하면서 충격을 흡수하고 있다.
그러나 상기한 범퍼 빔은 보강부재(5)를 후면(3)에만 결합하였음으로 충격시에 후면 변형은 억제되지만 후면의 변형이 억제되면서 상·하면의 변형이 심하여 충격흡수가 양호하지 못한 문제점이 있는 것이다.
본 발명은 상기한 문제점을 시정하여, 후면 및 상·하면의 변형을 양호하게 억제하여 충격흡수를 양호하게 한 차량용 범퍼 빔을 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
상기한 목적을 달성하기 위하여, 본 발명은 사다리꼴 유사 단면으로 된 박스형 빔 본체의 공동에 가로방향으로 리브를 일체로 형성하고, 상기 빔 본체의 후면 양측에 범퍼 스테이를 설치한 것에 있어서, 상기 빔 본체의 중앙부 후면에서 상·하면에 이르도록 단일 보강부재를 결합하여서 된 것이다.

본 발명은 도 1 및 도 3에 도시한 바와 같이 강 또는 알루미늄 압출형재 등으로 제조되고 사다리꼴 유사 단면으로 된 박스형 빔 본체(1)의 공동에 가로방향으로 리브(2)를 일체로 형성하고, 상기 빔 본체(1)의 후면(3) 양측에 범퍼 스테이(4)를 설치한 것에 있어서, 상기 빔 본체(1)의 중앙부 후면(3)에서 상·하면(13)(13')에 이르도록 일정 길이로 되고 빔 본체(1)와 동일재질로 된 단일 보강부재(14)를상·하면 (13)(13')에 리벳(15)으로 결합하여서 된 것이다.
상기한 보강부재(14)의 상·하면의 폭은 대략 빔 본체(1)의 상·하면(13) (13')의 중앙부까지 형성하면 좋고, 보강부재(14)를 빔 본체(1)에 결합할 때 리벳(15)을 도시하였으나 용접 또는 볼트에 의하여 결합할 수도 있는 것이다.
이상과 같은 본 발명은 정면(화살표 방향)에서 충격이 가하여 지면 도 4의 가상선과 같이 빔 본체(1)가 변형하면서 충격을 흡수하며, 상기와 같이 충격을 흡수할 때 후면(3) 및 상·하면(13)(13')의 변형을 양호하게 억제하여 외부충격에 대한 지지력을 증대할 수 있는 것이다.
그리고 본 발명의 보강부재(14)의 상·하면의 결합 폭은 대략 빔 본체(1)의 상·하면(13)(13')의 중앙부 위치까지의 폭으로 하였음으로 경량화하면서 빔 본체 (1)의 상·하면(13)(13')의 변형을 최대로 억제할 수 있는 것이다.
이상과 같이 본 발명은 빔 본체의 중앙부 후면에서 상·하면에 이르도록 단일 보강부재를 결합하였음으로 빔 본체가 충격을 흡수할 때 후면 및 상·하면의 변형을 양호하게 억제하여 외부충격에 대한 지지력을 증대시킴으로서 충격흡수성능을 증대할 수 있는 것이다.

Claims (2)

  1. 사다리꼴 유사 단면으로 된 박스형 빔 본체의 공동에 가로방향으로 리브를 일체로 형성하고, 상기 빔 본체의 후면 양측에 범퍼 스테이를 설치한 것에 있어서, 상기 빔 본체의 중앙부 후면에서 상·하면에 이르도록 단일 보강부재를 결합하여서 된 차량용 범퍼 빔.
  2. 제 1 항에 있어서, 보강부재의 상·하면의 폭은 빔 본체의 상·하면의 중앙부까지 형성한 차량용 범퍼 빔.
