Claims (8)
- 능동 매트릭스 디스플레이 시스템에 있어서,최대 반투명(translucent) 상태와 실질적인 비반투명(non-translucent) 상태 사이에서, 연속적으로 가변적인 방법으로, 개별 구동가능한 광을 변조하기 위한 화소 라인을 갖는 디스플레이 패널(1)과,후방측으로부터 상기 디스플레이 패널을 조명하여, 각 화소의 반투명도에 따라 디스플레이 출력을 생성하는 수 개의 광 부재(3a-e)와,상기 화소 라인을, 비디오 신호에 따라 각 화소의 원하는 반투명 상태로 순차적으로 어드레싱하는 어드레싱 시스템과,제한된 시간 주기 동안 높은 광 세기의 완전 활성화 상태에서 각각의 광 부재를 구동하여, 각 화소가 그의 완전 또는 거의 완전 변조 상태에 도달할 때, 상기 어드레싱 시스템과 동기하여, 한번에 화소의 하나 이상의 라인을 선택적으로 조명하는 구동 시스템을 포함하되,2개의 연속적인 완전 활성화 상태 사이의 시간 주기에서의 상기 광 부재(3a-e)는 낮은 광 세기의 감소된 상태로 되도록 동작되는능동 매트릭스 디스플레이 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 감소된 상태에서의 상기 광 부재(3)의 광 세기는 상기 완전 활성화 상태에서의 광 세기의 10%와 50% 사이인 것을 특징으로 하는 능동 매트릭스 디스플레이 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 감소된 상태에서의 상기 광 부재(3)의 광 세기는 상기 완전 활성화 상태에서의 광 세기의 15%와 40% 사이인 것을 특징으로 하는 능동 매트릭스 디스플레이 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 감소된 상태에서의 상기 광 부재(3)의 광 세기는 상기 완전 활성화 상태에서의 광 세기의 20%와 30% 사이인 것을 특징으로 하는 능동 매트릭스 디스플레이 시스템.
- 광을 변조하기 위한 화소 라인을 갖는 디스플레이 패널(1)과, 상기 패널의 후방측상의 수 개의 광 부재(3a-e)와, 상기 화소를 어드레싱하는 어드레싱 시스템과, 높은 광 세기의 완전 활성화 상태에서 각각의 광 부재를 구동하는 구동 시스템을 포함하는 능동 매트릭스 디스플레이 시스템을 동작하는 방법에 있어서,상기 화소를 비디오 신호에 따라 라인 이후 라인(line after line) 방식으로 순차적으로 변조함으로써, 상기 화소를, 상기 어드레싱 시스템에 의해 연속적으로 가변적인 방법으로, 최대 반투명 상태와 실질적인 비반투명 상태 사이의 원하는 정도로 변조하는 단계와,제한된 시간 주기 동안 완전 활성화 상태에서, 상기 디스플레이 패널의 후방측으로부터, 상기 어드레싱 시스템과 동기하여, 한번에 화소의 하나 이상의 라인을 선택적으로 조명하기 위한 단계와,각 화소의 반투명도에 따라 디스플레이 출력을 생성하기 위한 단계와,2개의 연속적인 완전 활성화 상태 사이의 시간 주기 동안 낮은 광 세기의 감소된 상태에서 상기 광 부재(3a-e)를 구동하기 위한 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는능동 매트릭스 디스플레이 시스템 동작 방법.
- 제 5 항에 있어서,상기 감소된 상태에서의 광 세기가 상기 완전 활성화 상태에서의 광 세기의 10%와 50% 사이가 되도록 상기 광 부재를 구동하는 것을 특징으로 하는 능동 매트릭스 디스플레이 시스템 동작 방법.
- 제 5 항에 있어서,상기 감소된 상태에서의 광 세기가 상기 완전 활성화 상태에서의 광 세기의 15%와 40% 사이가 되도록 상기 광 부재를 구동하는 것을 특징으로 하는 능동 매트릭스 디스플레이 시스템 동작 방법.
