Claims (22)
- 포인팅 디바이스(10)에 있어서,퍽 이동 영역(19)이 형성된 표면(12)과,사용자 센서(23, 24)를 포함하는 가동 퍽(puck)(11)으로서, 상기 사용자 센서는 사용자와 상기 퍽 사이의 상호 작용을 검출하고, 상기 퍽(11)은 상기 퍽 이동 영역(19) 내에서 이동하도록 한정되어 있는, 상기 가동 퍽(11)과,상기 퍽 이동 영역(19)에서 상기 퍽(11)의 위치를 측정하는 위치 검출기(51-55, 59)를 포함하는포인팅 디바이스.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 퍽 이동 영역(19)의 소정의 구역으로 상기 퍽(11)을 복귀시키는 복원 기구를 더 포함하는포인팅 디바이스.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 복원 기구는 상기 퍽(11)에 연결된 스프링(13, 71-74)을 포함하는포인팅 디바이스.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 복원 기구는 상기 퍽(11)상의 제 1 자석(96)과 상기 퍽 이동 영역(19) 내의 제 2 자석(97)을 포함하는포인팅 디바이스.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 스프링(13, 71-74)은 아치형 스프링(71-74)을 포함하는포인팅 디바이스.
- 제 5 항에 있어서,상기 아치형 스프링(71-74)은 평탄한 나선형 스프링(71-74)을 포함하며, "아치형 스프링" 및 "평탄한 나선형 스프링"이 동일한 참조부호(71-74)를 갖는포인팅 디바이스.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 복원 기구는 상기 퍽(11)이 상기 퍽 이동 영역(19)의 상기 소정 구역으로 복귀할 때 상기 퍽 위치에서의 진동을 감쇄시키는 힘을 가하는포인팅 디바이스.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 사용자 센서(23, 24)는 상기 퍽(11)상의 전극과 관련된 정전용량 변화를 검출하는포인팅 디바이스.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 사용자 센서(23, 24)는 상기 사용자가 상기 퍽(11)에 가하는 소정의 제 1 힘을 나타내는 제 1 신호를 발생시키는 힘 센서를 포함하는포인팅 디바이스.
- 제 9 항에 있어서,상기 힘 센서는 소정의 제 2 힘 레벨보다 큰 힘이 사용자에 의해 상기 퍽(11)에 의해 가해지는 힘을 나타내는 제 2 신호를 추가로 발생시키는포인팅 디바이스.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 사용자 센서(23, 24)는 사용자가 상기 퍽(11)에 가하는 힘의 크기를 나타내는 신호를 발생시키는포인팅 디바이스.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 센서가 사용자와 상기 퍽(11) 사이의 상호작용을 검출할 때 상기 퍽 이동 영역(19)에서의 상기 퍽(11)의 이동에 응답하여 커서를 디스플레이상에서 이동시키기 위한 제어기(59)를 더 포함하며, 상기 커서의 이동의 크기 및 방향은 상기 퍽 이동 영역(19)에서의 상기 퍽(11)의 이동의 크기 및 방향에 의해 결정되는포인팅 디바이스.
- 제 12 항에 있어서,상기 센서가 상기 사용자와 상기 퍽(11) 사이의 상호작용을 검출하지 않을 때, 상기 제어기는 상기 퍽(112)의 이동에 응답하여 상기 커서를 이동시키지 않는포인팅 디바이스.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 위치 센서는 상기 퍽(11)과 함께 이동하는 퍽 전극(55, 63) 및 상기 표면상의 표면 전극(51-54, 61)을 포함하는포인팅 디바이스.
- 제 14 항에 있어서,상기 위치 센서는 상기 전극 중 선택된 전극 사이의 정전용량을 측정하는포인팅 디바이스.
- 제 14 항에 있어서,상기 위치 센서는 상기 전극 중 선택된 전극 사이에 흐르는 전류를 측정하는포인팅 디바이스.
- 포인팅 디바이스에 있어서,퍽 이동 영역(19)이 형성된 표면(12)과,상기 퍽 이동 영역(19) 내에서 이동하도록 한정되어 있는 가동 퍽(11)과,상기 퍽 이동 영역(19)에서 상기 퍽(11)의 위치를 측정하는 위치 검출기(51-55, 59)와,상기 퍽(11)을 상기 퍽 이동 영역(19) 내의 소정의 구역으로 복귀시키는 복원 기구를 포함하는포인팅 디바이스.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 복원 기구는 상기 퍽(11)에 연결된 스프링(13, 71-74)을 포함하는포인팅 디바이스.
- 제 17 항에 있어서,상기 복원 기구는 상기 퍽(11)상의 제 1 자석(96)과 상기 퍽 이동 영역(19)에 대해 고정된 제 2 자석(97)을 포함하는포인팅 디바이스.
- 제 18 항에 있어서,상기 스프링(13, 71-74)은 아치형 스프링(71-74)을 포함하는포인팅 디바이스.
- 제 20 항에 있어서,상기 아치형 스프링(71-74)은 평탄한 나선형 스프링(71-74)을 포함하는포인팅 디바이스.
- 제 17 항에 있어서,상기 복원 기구는, 상기 퍽(11)이 상기 퍽 이동 영역(19)의 상기 소정 구역으로 복귀할 때 상기 퍽 위치에서의 진동을 감쇄시키는 힘을 가하는포인팅 디바이스.
