Claims (24)
- 네트워크에 액세스하는 통신 단말 디바이스를 수반하는 통신 세션을 수행하는 방법에 있어서,상기 통신 단말 디바이스에서, 제 1 액세스 모드를 통해 상기 세션에 대응하는 통신을 수행하는 단계와;상기 통신 단말 디바이스에서, 상기 세션에 대응하는 통신에 대해 제 2 액세스 모드가 사용될 수 있는지를 결정하는 단계와;상기 제 2 액세스 모드가 사용될 것이라는 표시를 상기 통신 단말 디바이스로부터 상기 네트워크에 전송하는 단계와; 그리고상기 통신 단말 디바이스에서, 상기 제 2 액세스 모드를 사용하여 상기 세션에 대응하는 후속 통신을 수행하는 단계를 포함하여 이루어진 통신 세션을 수행하는 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 2 액세스 모드를 사용하여 통신을 수행함과 동시에, 상기 제 1 액세스 모드를 사용하는 통신을 끊는 단계를 더 포함하여 이루어진 통신 세션을 수행하는 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 네트워크로 표시를 전달하는 단계는, 상기 네트워크로 하여금 상기 제 2 액세스 모드를 사용하여 상기 세션에 대응하는 후속 통신을 수행하도록 조치를 취하게 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 통신 세션을 수행하는 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 액세스 모드를 사용하는 것에서 상기 제 2 액세스 모드를 사용하는 것으로 상기 세션이 변환될 때, 상기 세션은 실질적으로 활성 상태를 유지하는 것을 특징으로 하는 통신 세션을 수행하는 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 제 2 액세스 모드를 사용하여 상기 세션에 대응하는 후속 통신을 수행하는 단계는,상기 제 2 액세스 모드를 통한 통신이 성공적으로 설정되었는지 아닌지를 통신 단말 디바이스에서 감지하는 것에 대응하여 조건부로 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 통신 세션을 수행하는 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 통신 단말 디바이스는, 무선 이동 통신 디바이스로서 기능할 수 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 통신 세션을 수행하는 방법.
- 제 6 항에 있어서,상기 무선 이동 통신 디바이스는, 이동 전화 통신 및 무선 랜(local area network) 통신을 수행하도록 구성되는 이중 모드 디바이스인 것을 특징으로 하는 통신 세션을 수행하는 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 통신 단말 디바이스는, 유선 랜(local area network)에 통신가능하게 접속되도록 구성되며, 액세스 모드로서 랜을 채용하도록 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 통신 세션을 수행하는 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 및 제 2 액세스 모드는 무선 통신들을 포함하여 이루어지며, 상기 제 1 액세스 모드는 상기 제 2 액세스 모드의 무선 주파수 대역과는 서로 다른 무선 주파수 대역에서의 전송(transmission)을 채용하는 것을 특징으로 하는 통신 세션을 수행하는 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 및 제 2 액세스 모드는 무선 통신들을 포함하여 이루어지며, 상기 제 1 액세스 모드는 상기 제 2 액세스 모드의 전송 프로토콜과는 서로 다른 전송 프로토콜을 따르는 전송(transmission)을 채용하는 것을 특징으로 하는 통신 세션을 수행하는 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,세션 도중에, 상기 제 2 액세스 모드가 후속 통신을 위해 사용될 것이라는 표시를 상기 통신 단말 디바이스를 통하여 사용자에게 제공하는 단계를 더 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 통신 세션을 수행하는 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 2 액세스 모드를 사용하는 통신이 성공적으로 설정되었음을 알려주는 표시를 상기 통신 단말 디바이스를 통하여 사용자에게 제공하는 단계를 더 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 통신 세션을 수행하는 방법.
- 세션 도중에, 상기 제 2 액세스 모드가 이용가능함을 알려주는 표시를 상기 통신 단말 디바이스를 통하여 사용자에게 제공하는 단계를 더 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 통신 세션을 수행하는 방법.
- 제 13 항에 있어서,상기 사용자에 대한 표시는, 상기 통신 단말 디바이스에 의해 표현되는 적어도 하나의 시각적 신호, 청각적 신호 또는 기계적인 움직임에 의해 제공되는 것을 특징으로 하는 통신 세션을 수행하는 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 2 액세스 모드가 사용자에 의해 수락되었는지에 관한 표시를 사용자로부터 수신하고 그리고 이에 응답하여 상기 제 2 액세스 모드를 사용하여 상기 세션에 대응하는 후속 통신을 수행하는 단계를 더 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 통신 세션을 수행하는 방법.
- 제 15 항에 있어서,상기 제 2 액세스 모드가 수락할만한지를 상기 사용자가 결정할 수 있게끔 하는 적어도 하나의 상기 제 1 액세스 모드 또는 제 2 액세스 모드에 관련된 정보를 상기 통신 단말 디바이스를 통해 상기 사용자에게 전달하는 단계를 더 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 통신 세션을 수행하는 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 2 액세스 모드를 사용하여 상기 세션에 대응하는 후속 통신을 수행하는 단계는, 상기 제 2 액세스 모드의 속성이 상기 세션이 개시되기 전에 사용자에 의해 설정된 기준을 충족시키는지에 기초하여 조건부로 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 통신 세션을 수행하는 방법.
- 제 17 항에 있어서,상기 기준은 상기 통신 단말 디바이스내에 지속적으로 저장되는 것을 특징으 로 하는 통신 세션을 수행하는 방법.
- 제 17 항에 있어서,상기 속성은 상기 세션 도중에 상기 통신 단말 디바이스에 의해 상기 기준에 대하여 평가되는 것을 특징으로 하는 통신 세션을 수행하는 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 2 액세스 모드를 사용하여 상기 세션에 대응하는 후속 통신을 수행하는 단계는, 사용자에 의해 설정된 현재의 인가를 조건으로 하여 세션 도중의 모드 스위칭을 허용하도록 조건부로 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 통신 세션을 수행하는 방법.
- 네트워크에 액세스하여 통신 세션을 수행하기 위한 통신 단말 디바이스에 있어서,제 1 액세스 모드를 통해 상기 세션에 대응하는 통신을 수행하는 수단과;상기 세션에 대응하는 통신에 대해 제 2 액세스 모드가 사용될 수 있는지를 결정하는 수단과;상기 제 2 액세스 모드가 사용될 것이라는 표시를 상기 네트워크로 전송하는 수단과; 그리고상기 제 2 액세스 모드를 사용하여 상기 세션에 대응하는 후속 통신을 수행 하는 수단을 포함하여 이루어진 통신 단말 디바이스.
- 제 21 항에 있어서,상기 표시를 상기 네트워크로 전송하는 수단은, 세션 도중에 SIP INVITE 메시지를 상기 네트워크로 전송하는 수단을 포함하여 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 통신 단말 디바이스.
- 통신 단말 디바이스를 수반하는 통신 세션을 수행하기 위한 통신 네트워크내의 방법에 있어서,상기 네트워크와 상기 디바이스 사이의 제 1 액세스 모드를 통해 상기 세션에 대응하는 통신을 수행하는 단계와;상기 네트워크와 상기 디바이스 사이의 제 2 액세스 모드가 상기 세션에 대응하는 후속 통신에 사용될 것이라는 표시를 상기 디바이스로부터 수신하는 단계와; 그리고상기 네트워크와 상기 디바이스 사이의 제 2 액세스 모드를 사용하여 상기 세션에 대응하는 후속 통신을 수행하는 단계를 포함하여 이루어진 통신 네트워크내의 방법.
- 제 23 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 액세스 모드에 의해 가능해지는 상기 디바이스의 이동성 정도는 상기 제 2 액세스 모드에 의해 가능해지는 상기 디바이스의 이동성 정도와 실질적으로 다른 것을 특징으로 하는 통신 네트워크내의 방법.
