Abstract
Description
도 2는 본 발명의 제4 실시예를 위한 개질된 충전제의 포함에 의해 제공된 종이 제품의 인장 강도의 증가를 보여주는 그래프이고, 이때 상기 종이 제품 내의 충전제의 중량 함량은 회분로서 지칭되고, 회분은 통상적인 충전제 카올린 점토이거나, 또는 카올린 점토 제품을 포함하는 본 발명의 개질된 충전제이다.
도 3은 본 발명의 제4 실시예의 종이 제품의 결합 강도의 증가를 보여주는 그래프이다.
Claims (20)
- 하나 이상의 최종 제품의 제조에 사용하기 위한 개질된 충전제 조성물로서, 본질적으로 하기 물질들로 구성된 개질된 충전제 조성물:
a. 충전제 물질;
b. 결합제 물질; 및
c. 반응물질. - 제1항에 있어서,
결합제 물질 대 충전제 물질의 중량비가 약 300 부의 결합제 물질 대 약 1 부의 충전제 물질 내지 약 0.05 부의 결합제 물질 대 약 1 부의 충전제 물질의 범위 내에 있는, 개질된 충전제 조성물. - 제2항에 있어서,
결합제 물질 대 충전제 물질의 중량비가 약 1 대 1인, 개질된 충전제 조성물. - 제1항에 있어서,
반응물질 대 결합제 물질의 중량비가 약 9 부의 반응물질 대 약 100 부의 결합제 물질 내지 약 0.05 부의 반응물질 대 약 100 부의 결합제 물질의 범위 내에 있는, 개질된 충전제 조성물. - 제2항에 있어서,
반응물질 대 결합제 물질의 중량비가 약 9 부의 반응물질 대 약 100 부의 결합제 물질 내지 약 0.05 부의 반응물질 대 약 100 부의 결합제 물질의 범위 내에 있는, 개질된 충전제 조성물. - 제1항에 있어서,
물을 추가로 포함하고, 이때 물이 조성물의 약 80%를 차지하는, 개질된 충전제 조성물. - 제1항에 있어서,
a. 충전제 물질이 섬유, 분쇄된(ground) 탄산칼슘, 침전된 탄산칼슘, 카올린 점토, 하소된 점토, 물-세척된 점토, 이산화티탄, 운모, 활석, 무증자(uncooked) 전분 과립, 건조된 증류기 그레인(grain), 쌀겨, 분쇄된 견과류외피, 귀리겨, 또는 이들과 유사한 물질 및 이들의 블렌드로 구성된 군으로부터 선택되고;
b. 결합제 물질이 천연 전분 및 변성된 전분, 검(gum), 라텍스 및 유도체화된 셀룰로스 생성물로 구성된 군으로부터 선택되고, 이때 상기 천연 전분 및 변성된 전분이 옥수수, 찰옥수수, 감자, 타피오카, 밀 또는 쌀로부터 단리된 전분, 및 산화된 전분, 양이온성 전분, 음이온성 전분, 산-희석된 전분, 에틸화된 전분 및 알데하이드 전분으로 변성된 전분으로 구성된 군으로부터 선택되고;
c. 반응물질이 알데하이드, 다이알데하이드, 글라이옥살, 차단된(blocked) 직쇄 또는 비차단된 글라이옥살-기제(based) 불용화제, 지방족 에폭시 수지, 멜라민 포름알데하이드 수지, 탄산지르코늄암모늄, 탄산지르코늄칼륨, 차단된 이소사이아네이트 및 이들의 혼합물로 구성된 군으로부터 선택되는, 개질된 충전제 조성물. - 제7항에 있어서,
충전제 물질이 셀룰로스 섬유이고, 결합제 물질이 전분이고, 반응물질이 글라이옥살인, 개질된 충전제 조성물. - 제1항에 있어서,
셀룰로스 섬유와 추가로 조합되어 종이 제품을 형성하는 개질된 충전제 조성물. - a. 충전제 물질 및 결합제 물질을 함께 분산시켜 충전제-결합제 조성물을 형성하는 단계;
b. 상기 충전제-결합제 조성물을 가열하는 단계;
c. 반응물질을 상기 충전제-결합제 조성물에 첨가하여 충전제-결합제-반응물질 조성물을 형성하는 단계; 및
d. 상기 충전제-결합제-반응물질 조성물을 가열하여 개질된 충전제 조성물을 제조하는 단계
를 포함하는, 개질된 충전제 조성물을 제조하는 방법. - 제10항에 있어서,
개질된 충전제 조성물을 셀룰로스-기제 최종 제품의 제조에 적합한 하나 이상의 추가 성분과 조합하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 방법. - 제11항에 있어서,
조합하는 단계가 셀룰로스-기제 최종 제품의 제조 전에 하나 이상의 추가 성분을 개질된 충전제 조성물에 분산시키는 단계를 포함하는, 방법. - 제11항에 있어서,
개질된 충전제 조성물을 포함하는 코팅물을 형성하는 단계를 추가로 포함하고, 이때
조합하는 단계가 상기 코팅물을 상기 하나 이상의 추가 성분을 함유하는 최종 제품에 도포하는 단계를 포함하는, 방법. - 제10항에 있어서,
충전제 물질 및 결합제 물질을 함께 분산시키기 전에 상기 결합제 물질을 가열하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 방법. - 제10항에 있어서,
제2 가열 단계 전에 물을 충전제-결합제-반응물질 조성물에 첨가하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 방법. - 제10항에 있어서,
충전제 물질이 섬유이고, 결합제 물질이 전분이고, 반응물질이 글라이옥살인, 방법. - 제16항에 있어서,
충전제-결합제 조성물을 가열하는 단계 및 충전제-결합제-반응물질 조성물을 가열하는 단계 둘다가 약 140℉의 온도에서 수행되는, 방법. - a. 셀룰로스 섬유; b. 충전제 물질; c. 결합제 물질; 및 d. 반응물질을 포함하는 종이 제품.
- 제18항에 있어서,
충전제 물질이 섬유이고, 결합제 물질이 전분이고, 반응물질이 글라이옥살인, 종이 제품. - 제19항에 있어서,
섬유 및 전분이 1 대 1 중량비로 존재하고, 글라이옥살 및 전분이 3 대 100 중량비로 존재하는, 종이 제품.
