Description

Claims (20)
- (a) 원료를 (i) 희석제 및 (ii) 수소와 접촉시켜 원료/희석제/수소 혼합물을 생성시키며, 여기서 수소는 혼합물 중에 용해되어 액체 원료를 제공하는 단계; (b) 제1 처리 구역에서 원료/희석제/수소 혼합물을 제1 촉매와 접촉시켜 제1 산물 유출물을 생성시키는 단계; (c) 제2 처리 구역에서 제1 산물 유출물을 제2 촉매와 접촉시켜 제2 산물 유출물을 생성시키는 단계; 및 (d) 제2 산물 유출물의 일부를 단계 (a)(i)에서 희석제에 사용하기 위한 재순환 산물 스트림으로서 약 1 내지 약 8의 재순환 비율로 재순환시키며, 여기서 제1 처리 구역은 2개 이상의 스테이지를 포함하고, 여기서 제1 촉매는 수소화 처리(hydrotreating) 촉매이며 제2 촉매는 개환 촉매이고, 제1 및 제2 처리 구역은 전체-액상(liquid-full) 반응 구역이며, 공정에 공급되는 수소의 총량은 원료의 리터당 100 노말 리터(normal liter)의 수소를 초과하는 단계를 포함하는, 탄화수소 원료를 수소화 가공(hydroprocessing)하는 공정.
- 제1항에 있어서, 탄화수소 원료가 중질 탄화수소인 공정.
- 제1항에 있어서, 탄화수소 원료가 경질 순환유(cycle oil)인 공정.
- 제1항에 있어서, 공정에 공급되는 수소의 총량이 200 내지 530 l/l(1125 내지 3000 scf/bbl)인 공정.
- 제1항에 있어서, 공정에 공급되는 수소의 총량이 250 내지 360 l/l(1300 내지 2000 scf/bbl)인 공정.
- 제1항에 있어서, 제1 처리 구역 및 제2 처리 구역 양자 모두가 약 300℃ 내지 약 450℃의 온도, 약 3.45 ㎫(34.5 바) 내지 17.3 ㎫(173 바)의 압력, 및 약 0.1 내지 약 10 hr-1의 액체 시간당 공간 속도(LHSV: liquid hourly space velocity)를 제공하는 탄화수소 공급 속도를 갖는 공정.
- 제6항에 있어서, 제1 처리 구역 및 제2 처리 구역 양자 모두가 약 350℃ 내지 약 400℃의 온도, 약 6.9 ㎫(69 바) 내지 13.9 ㎫(139 바)의 압력, 및 약 0.4 내지 약 4 hr-1의 액체 시간당 공간 속도(LHSV)를 제공하는 탄화수소 공급 속도를 갖는 공정.
- 제1항에 있어서, 희석제가 경질 탄화수소, 경질 증류액, 나프타, 디젤, 및 이들 중 2가지 이상의 조합으로 구성된 군으로부터 선택된 유기 액체를 포함하는 공정.
- 제1항에 있어서, 제1 처리 구역이 하나의 반응기 내에 2개 이상의 촉매 베드를 포함하며, 여기서 베드는 촉매가 없는 구역에 의해 물리적으로 분리되는 공정.

- 제1항에 있어서, 제1 촉매가 금속 및 산화물 지지체를 포함하며, 여기서 금속은 몰리브덴 및/또는 텅스텐과 조합된 니켈 및 코발트, 및 그의 조합으로 구성된 군으로부터 선택되고, 산화물 지지체는 알루미나, 실리카, 티타니아, 지르코니아, 규조토, 실리카-알루미나, 및 이들 중 2가지 이상의 조합으로 구성된 군으로부터 선택되는 공정.
- 제16항에 있어서, 제1 촉매 지지체가 알루미나인 공정.
