Abstract
Description
Claims (10)
- (a) 1,3-프로판다이올 및 황산을 포함하는 초기 혼합물을 적어도 약 150℃의 온도에서 중축합하여 제1 반응 혼합물을 수득하는 단계;
(b) 약 120℃ 초과 내지 약 200℃ 미만의 온도에서 제1 반응 혼합물에 (i) 알루미나, (ii) 실리카 기재 필터 보조제(filter aid), 및 임의로는 (iii) 활성 카본 블랙을 첨가하여, 제2 반응 혼합물을 형성하는 단계;
(c) 제2 반응 혼합물을 약 133 Pa 내지 약 5332 Pa (1 내지 약 40 torr)의 압력 및 약 120℃ 내지 약 200℃의 온도에서 증류시켜서 제3 반응 혼합물, 및 1,3-프로판다이올을 함유하는 증류물을 수득하는 단계; 및
(d) 제3 반응 혼합물을 약 70℃ 내지 약 100℃의 온도에서 여과하여 약 0.5 중량% 미만의 1,3-프로판다이올을 함유하고, 산가가 0.05 ㎎ KOH/g 미만이고, 탁도(turbidity)가 약 1 NTU 미만이고, 수평균 분자량이 약 200 내지 약 500인 폴리트라이메틸렌 글리콜을 수득하는 단계를 포함하는, 저분자량 폴리트라이메틸렌 에테르 글리콜의 제조 방법. - 제1항에 있어서, 단계 (c)로부터의 1,3-프로판다이올을 함유하는 증류물을 단계 (a)의 초기 혼합물로 재순환시키는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 제3 반응 혼합물이 약 1 중량% 미만의 1,3-프로판다이올을 함유하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 단계 (d)를 반복하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 단계 (a)에서 황산의 양이 약 0.3 중량% 미만인 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 폴리트라이메틸렌 에테르 글리콜의 분자량이 약 200 내지 약 300인 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 초기 혼합물이 회수된 1,3-프로판다이올을 함유하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 단계 (c)를 약 120 내지 약 180℃의 온도에서 수행하고, 알루미나 및 실리카를 합한 전체 양이 제1 반응 혼합물의 약 5 중량% 미만인 방법.
- 제8항에 있어서, 알루미나 대 실리카의 중량비가 2:1 내지 3:1 범위인 방법.
- 제1항의 방법에 의해서 제조되고, 수평균 분자량이 약 200 내지 약 300이고, 1,3-프로판다이올이 약 0.5 중량% 미만이고, 황 함량이 약 10 ppm 미만이고, APHA 색도(APHA color value)가 약 50 미만인 폴리트라이메틸렌 에테르 글리콜.
