Claims (16)
- 2개의 전극들을 포함하며, 하나의 전극이 전해질 챔버의 양 측면 상에 위치하는, 상기 전해질 챔버를 규정하기 위한 수단을 갖는 액체 전해질 연료 전지로서,
각각의 전극은:
- 복수의 관통-구멍들이 형성되어 있는 금속 시트, 및
- 상기 금속 시트에 접착된 섬유성 및/또는 입자성 전기-전도성 재료의 유체-투과층으로서, 상기 금속 시트와 전기 접속하고 또한 촉매 재료를 포함하는, 상기 유체 투과층을 포함하는 액체 전해질 연료 전지. - 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 관통-구멍들은 에칭된 또는 드릴링된 구멍들로 규정되는 액체 전해질 연료 전지.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서, 상기 구멍들은 5 ㎛ 내지 3 mm 사이의 폭을 가지며, 또한 50 ㎛ 내지 10 mm 사이만큼 이격되어 있는 액체 전해질 연료 전지.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 3 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 구멍들은 상기 금속 시트 영역의 50% 미만을 점유하는 액체 전해질 연료 전지.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 유체-투과층의 두께는 상기 금속 시트를 통과하는 상기 구멍들 사이의 평균 분리값의 적어도 1/2에 상당하는 액체 전해질 연료 전지.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 5 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 금속 시트는 관통-구멍들 없이 주변 여백(peripheral margin)을 가지며, 상기 유체-투과층은 상기 주변 여백 위로 연장하는 액체 전해질 연료 전지.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 6 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 유체-투과층은 탄소 및 결합제(binder)를 포함하는 액체 전해질 연료 전지.
- 제 7 항에 있어서, 상기 결합제는 소수성인 액체 전해질 연료 전지.
- 제 7 항 또는 제 8 항에 있어서, 상기 유체-투과층은 탄소 나노튜브들, 버키볼(buckyball)들 또는 나노뿔(nanohorn)들을 포함하는 액체 전해질 연료 전지.
- 제 7 항 내지 제 9 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 유체-투과층은 그의 탄소 성분들 및/또는 소수 특성들과는 다른 중첩층(superimposed layer)들을 포함하는 액체 전해질 연료 전지.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 10 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 구멍들 내의 표면들에는 소수성 코팅부가 제공되는 액체 전해질 연료 전지.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 11 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 유체-투과층은 폴리머에 의해 상기 금속 시트에 접착되는 액체 전해질 연료 전지.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 11 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 유체-투과층은 비정질 세라믹(amorphous ceramic)에 의해 상기 금속 시트에 접착되는 액체 전해질 연료 전지.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 13 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 유체-투과층의 에지 영역을 상기 금속 시트 위에 유지시키기 위한 수단을 또한 포함하는 액체 전해질 연료 전지.
- - 복수의 관통-구멍들이 형성되어 있는 금속 시트, 및
- 상기 금속 시트에 접착된 섬유성 및/또는 입자성 전기-전도성 재료의 유체-투과층으로서, 상기 금속 시트와 전기 접속하고 또한 촉매 재료를 포함하는, 상기 유체 투과층을 포함하는 전극. - 금속 시트의 표면과 유체-투과층의 표면을 비정질 세라믹용 전구체로 코팅하고, 상기 금속 시트와 상기 유체-투과층을 조립하고, 또한 상기 비정질 세라믹을 생성하도록 상기 전구체를 처리함으로써, 상기 금속 시트를 상기 유체-투과층에 접착시키는 방법.
