Claims (8)
- 세륨을 포함한 원소를 산화물로 환산하여 60질량% 내지 98질량%(상기 세륨을 포함한 원소는 세륨과, 세륨 이외의 이트륨을 포함한 희토류 금속 원소, 지르코늄 및 규소로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 적어도 하나의 원소를, 산화물로 환산하여 질량으로 85:15 내지 100:0으로 이루어짐);
알칼리 토금속 원소를 산화물로 환산하여 1질량% 내지 20질량%; 및
알루미늄을 Al2O3로 환산하여 1질량% 내지 20질량%
포함하는 복합 산화물이며,
상기 복합 산화물은 800℃에서 2시간 동안 하소 후 BET 방법에 의해 측정하여 비표면적이 40 m2/g 이상을 나타내고, 800℃에서 2시간 동안 하소 후 X선 회절에 의해 결정하여 AECeO3상(AE는 알칼리 토금속 원소를 나타냄)을 가지지 않으며, (111) 면에 있어서 CeO2 결정자 크기가 15 nm 이하인 특성을 갖는 것인 복합 산화물. - 제1항에 있어서, 상기 알칼리 토금속 원소는 바륨을 포함하는 것인 복합 산화물.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 알칼리 토금속 원소의 함량은 산화물로 환산하여 1질량% 내지 15질량%인 복합 산화물.
- 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 복합 산화물은 800℃에서 2시간 동안 하소 후 BET 방법에 의해 측정하여 비표면적이 50 m2/g 이상인 복합 산화물.
- (A) 세륨 이온의 90몰% 이상이 4가인 세륨 용액을 제공하는 단계;
(B) 단계 (A)로부터 얻은 상기 세륨 용액을 60℃ 이상으로 가열 및 유지시켜 세륨 현탁액을 얻는 단계;
(C) 단계 (B)로부터 얻은 상기 세륨 현탁액에 적어도 알칼리 토금속 산화물의 전구체 및 알루미늄 산화물의 전구체를 첨가하여 현탁액을 얻는 단계;
(D) 단계 (C)로부터 얻은 상기 현탁액을 100℃ 이상으로 가열 및 유지시키는 단계;
(E) 단계 (D)로부터 얻은 상기 현탁액에 제1 침전제를 첨가하여 상기 알칼리 토금속 원소 이외의 원소를 침전시키는 단계;
(F) 제2 침전제를 첨가하여 상기 알칼리 토금속 원소를 함유하는 침전물을 얻는 단계; 및
(G) 단계 (F)로부터 얻은 상기 침전물을 하소시키는 단계
를 포함하는, 복합 산화물의 제조 방법. - 제5항에 있어서, 단계 (C)에서, 세륨 이외의 이트륨을 포함한 희토류 금속 원소, 지르코늄 및 규소로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 적어도 하나의 원소의 산화물의 전구체가 단계 (B)로부터 얻은 상기 세륨 현탁액에 추가로 첨가되는 것인 방법.
- 제5항 또는 제6항에 있어서, 상기 알칼리 토금속 산화물의 전구체는 바륨 산화물의 전구체를 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제1항 내지 제4항 중 어느 한 항의 복합 산화물을 포함하는, 배기가스를 정화하기 위한 촉매.
