- 제1 방향을 따라 각각 연장된 게이트 배선 및 보조 용량선과, 제1 방향에 교차하는 제2 방향을 따라 각각 연장된 제1 소스 배선 및 제2 소스 배선과, 상기 제1 소스 배선과 상기 제2 소스 배선과의 사이에 위치하고 제2 방향을 따라 연장된 띠 형상의 주화소 전극과, 상기 주화소 전극에 연결되고 상기 제1 소스 배선 및 상기 제2 소스 배선을 향해 제1 방향을 따라 각각 연장된 띠 형상의 부화소 전극과, 상기 게이트 배선과 대향하고 제1 방향을 따라 연장된 제1 부공통 전극과, 수평 배향성을 나타내는 재료에 의해 형성되고 상기 주화소 전극, 상기 부화소 전극 및 상기 제1 부공통 전극을 덮는 제1 배향막을 구비한 제1 기판과,
상기 주화소 전극을 사이에 둔 양측에서 제2 방향을 따라 각각 연장되고 상기 제1 부공통 전극과 동일 전위의 제2 주공통 전극과, 수평 배향성을 나타내는 재료에 의해 형성되고 상기 제2 주공통 전극을 덮는 제2 배향막을 구비한 제2 기판과,
상기 제1 기판과 상기 제2 기판과의 사이에 보유 지지된 액정 분자를 포함하는 액정층
을 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 주화소 전극과 상기 제2 주공통 전극과의 사이에 전계가 형성되어 있지 않은 상태에서, 상기 액정 분자의 초기 배향 방향은, 제2 방향에 평행한 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치. - 제2항에 있어서,
상기 제1 기판은, 상기 제1 부공통 전극과 연결되고 상기 제1 소스 배선 및 상기 제2 소스 배선과 각각 대향하고 제2 방향을 따라 연장되고 상기 제1 배향막에 의해 덮여진 제1 주공통 전극을 더 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치. - 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 부화소 전극은, 상기 보조 용량선 또는 상기 게이트 배선의 상방에 위치하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치. - 제4항에 있어서,
상기 부화소 전극은, 상기 주화소 전극의 제2 방향을 따른 중앙부에 결합한 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치. - 제5항에 있어서,
상기 부화소 전극은, 상기 주화소 전극과 직교하고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치. - 제6항에 있어서,
상기 주화소 전극은, 상기 제1 소스 배선과 상기 제2 소스 배선과의 중간에 위치하고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치. - 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 제2 주공통 전극은, 상기 제1 소스 배선 및 상기 제2 소스 배선의 상방에 각각 위치하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치. - 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 제1 배향막이 상기 액정 분자를 초기 배향시키는 제1 배향 처리 방향 및 상기 제2 배향막이 상기 액정 분자를 초기 배향시키는 제2 배향 처리 방향은 서로 평행하며,
상기 액정 분자는, 상기 제1 기판과 상기 제2 기판과의 사이에 있어서 스프레이 배향 또는 호모지니어스 배향되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치. - 제9항에 있어서,
상기 제1 기판의 외면에 배치되고 제1 편광축을 구비한 제1 편광판과, 제2 기판의 외면에 배치되고 제1 편광축과 크로스 니콜의 위치 관계에 있는 제2 편광축을 구비한 제2 편광판을 더 구비하고, 상기 제1 편광판의 제1 편광축이 상기 액정 분자의 초기 배향 방향과 직교하거나 혹은 평행한 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치. - 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 제1 기판은, 용량 결합 구동을 행하기 위한 구동 기구를 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
