Description

도 5는 수 개의 에너지 흡수 요소를 갖는 에너지 흡수 본체를 도시하고;
도 6은 단일의 에너지 흡수체 요소를 도시하고;
도 7은 도 4에 도시된 바와 같은 에너지 흡수 요소의 베이스에의 스냅 핏(snap fit) 결합을 도시하고;
도 8은 수 개의 에너지 흡수 요소 및 외측 크래쉬 박스를 갖는 에너지 흡수 본체를 도시하고, 그 중 하나는 도 9에 도시되어 있다.

Claims (16)
- 차량용 열가소성 에너지 흡수체로서,
베이스; 및
크러시 로브(crush lobe)를 포함하고, 여기서 상기 크러시 로브는,
상기 베이스로부터 연장되는 하중(load) 벽;
상기 베이스에 대향하는 상기 하중 벽의 단부에 위치되는 볼록한 전방면을 포함하고, 여기서 상기 볼록한 전방면은 상기 베이스로부터 멀어지는 방향으로 외방으로 만곡되고; 그리고
상기 볼록한 전방면은 5 mm 이상의 반경을 갖는 필릿(fillet)을 구비하는 하중 벽에 연결되고;
상기 베이스 및 크러시 로브는 플라스틱 재료를 포함하는, 차량용 열가소성 에너지 흡수체. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 베이스는 차량에 상기 베이스를 사용 가능하게 연결하도록 구성되는 스냅 피팅(snap fitting)을 더 포함하는, 차량용 열가소성 에너지 흡수체. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
상기 에너지 흡수체의 대향 단부에 배치되는 한 쌍의 크래쉬 박스(crash box)를 더 포함하는, 차량용 열가소성 에너지 흡수체. - 제 3 항에 있어서,
상기 크래쉬 박스는 허니컴 형상을 포함하고, 상기 크러쉬 박스(crush box)는 상기 크러시 로브보다 큰 강성을 갖는, 차량용 열가소성 에너지 흡수체. - 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
40 km/시에서의 정면 충돌 시 상기 에너지 흡수 요소의 힘-변위 곡선은 정면 충돌 시 6 내지 25 mm의 침입(intrusion) 시에 5 kN 이하의 피크(peak) 힘을 보여주는, 차량용 열가소성 에너지 흡수체. - 제 1 항 내지 제 5 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 에너지 흡수체를 장착한 차량 범퍼 상에 40 km/시의 속도로 하부 레그폼(legform)의 충돌 시, 상기 크러시 로브는 0 내지 25 mm의 침입에서 5.75 kN 이하의 힘을 받는, 차량용 열가소성 에너지 흡수체. - 제 6 항에 있어서,
상기 힘은 5.5 kN 이하인, 차량용 열가소성 에너지 흡수체. - 제 7 항에 있어서,
상기 침입은 0 내지 35 mm인, 차량용 열가소성 에너지 흡수체. - 제 6 항 내지 제 8 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 침입은 0 내지 35 mm인, 차량용 열가소성 에너지 흡수체. - 제 1 항 내지 제 9 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 반경은 5 내지 10 mm인, 차량용 열가소성 에너지 흡수체. - 제 1 항 내지 제 10 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 반경은 7 내지 10 mm인, 차량용 열가소성 에너지 흡수체. - 차량 에너지 흡수 시스템으로서,
범퍼 빔;
제 1 항 내지 제 11 항 중 어느 한 항에 따른 에너지 흡수체; 및
상기 에너지 흡수체 및 적어도 일부의 상기 범퍼 빔을 피복하는 페이시아(fascia)를 포함하는, 차량 에너지 흡수 시스템. - 차량 에너지 흡수 시스템으로서,
범퍼 빔;
베이스 및 크러시 로브를 포함하는 에너지 흡수체를 포함하고, 여기서 상기 크러시 로브는,
상기 베이스로부터 연장되는 하중 벽; 및
상기 베이스에 대향하는 상기 하중 벽의 단부에 위치되는 볼록한 전방면을 포함하고, 여기서 상기 볼록한 전방면은 상기 베이스로부터 멀어지는 방향으로 외방으로 만곡되고;
