Claims (10)
- 장치에 있어서,
핸드헬드 폼 팩터(hand-held form factor)로 구성되어 있는 하우징;
상기 하우징의 물리적 환경에서 3차원으로 상기 하우징의 위치 및 배향을 검출하도록 구성되어 있는 하나 이상의 센서들;
적어도 일부가 투명하고 상기 하우징에 의해 지지되는 광 가이드(light guide);
상기 광 가이드에 광학적으로 결합되어 있는 광 엔진(light engine); 및
상기 하우징 내에 배치되어 있고 적어도 일부가 하드웨어로 구현되어 있는 하나 이상의 모듈들을
포함하고,
상기 하나 이상의 모듈들은 증강(augmentation)의 위치 및 배향을 계산하도록 그리고 상기 증강이 상기 광 가이드를 통해 상기 물리적 환경의 적어도 일부분과 동시에 보이도록 상기 광 엔진으로 하여금 상기 광 가이드를 사용하여 디스플레이하기 위한 상기 증강을 출력하게 하도록 구성되어 있는 것인, 장치. - 제1항에 있어서, 상기 증강이 사용자에게 3차원으로 보이는 것인, 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 하우징은 휴대폰 또는 태블릿의 일부로서 형성되어 있고, 상기 하나 이상의 모듈들은 무선 통신 기능을 포함하는 것인, 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 광 가이드는 무한대에 초점이 맞춰져 있는 영상면(image plane)을 따라 상기 증강을 디스플레이하도록 구성되어 있는 것인, 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 광 가이드는 상기 광 가이드의 부분들의 투명도를 변경하여 제1 상기 부분은 투명한 반면 제2 상기 부분은 투명하지 않도록 하기 위해 상기 하나 이상의 모듈들에 의해 선택가능한 층을 포함하는 것인, 장치.
- 제5항에 있어서, 제1 상기 부분은 상기 물리적 환경의 상기 일부분을 보기 위해 사용되고, 제2 상기 부분은 상기 증강을 보기 위해 사용되는 것인, 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 하나 이상의 센서들은 하나 이상의 카메라들, 하나 이상의 깊이 감지 카메라들, 자이로스코프, 하나 이상의 가속도계들, 또는 자력계로서 구성되어 있는 것인, 장치.
- 방법에 있어서,
사용자에 의해 보유된 핸드헬드 디바이스의 하나 이상의 카메라들을 사용하여 사용자의 하나 이상의 영상들을 포착하는 단계;
상기 핸드헬드 디바이스에 의해 상기 포착된 하나 이상의 영상들로부터 3차원 공간에서 상기 사용자의 동공들의 위치를 계산하는 단계; 및
상기 핸드헬드 디바이스의 투명한 디스플레이를 통해 보이는 상기 핸드헬드 디바이스의 물리적 환경의 적어도 일부분과 동시에 보이는 증강을 상기 사용자의 동공들의 상기 계산된 위치에 기초하여 상기 투명한 디스플레이 상에 디스플레이하는 단계를
포함하는, 방법. - 제8항에 있어서, 상기 투명한 디스플레이는 광 엔진에 광학적으로 결합되어 있는 광 가이드가고, 상기 광 엔진은 상기 하나 이상의 모듈들에 의해 명시된 대로 상기 증강을 출력하도록 구성되어 있는 것인, 방법.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 광 엔진은 상기 핸드헬드 디바이스의 상기 물리적 환경의 상기 일부분의 디스플레이를 출력하지 않는 것인, 방법.
