Claims (1)
- 체액(fluid) 샘플의 분석 물질 농도(analyte concentration)를 결정하도록 구성된 배터리로 전원공급되는 측정기(battery-powered meter)에 있어서,
충전식 배터리(rechargeable battery)를 수용하기 위한 용적을 규정하는 하우징으로서, 테스트 센서의 적어도 일부분을 수용할 수 있는 크기의 포트를 또한 규정하는, 상기 하우징; 및
상기 하우징 내에 배치되며, 상기 충전식 배터리와 연관된 충전 프로세스를 실행하도록 구성된 하나 이상의 프로세서들
을 포함하고,
상기 충전 프로세스는,
(i) 외부 전원에 대한 접속을 모니터링하는 동작; 및
(ii) 상기 외부 전원에 대한 상기 접속의 식별 정보의 수신에 응답하여, 제1의 미리 정해진 이벤트가 발생할 때까지 제1 충전 레이트(charge rate)로 상기 배터리를 고속 충전하고, 후속하여 상기 제1 충전 레이트보다 낮은 제2 충전 레이트로 상기 배터리를 충전하는 충전 루틴을 실행하는 동작
을 포함하고,
상기 충전 루틴의 실행은 온도에 민감한 분석 물질 농도 테스트를 위해 구성된 측정기에서의 온도 상승을 최소화하고, 상기 온도 상승은 온도에 민감한 분석 물질 농도 테스트에서 무시가능한 섭씨 1℃ 미만인 것인,
