Abstract
Description
Claims (13)
- 적어도 1개 이상의 중합성 관능기를 갖는 적어도 1종 이상의 중합성 화합물, 및, 1종 또는 2종 이상의 유기 용제를 혼합하고, 가열 교반해서 중합성 용액을 조제하는 공정(I)과, 상기 중합성 용액에 중합개시제를 혼합하는 공정(Ⅱ)을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 중합성 액정 조성물의 제조 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,
상기 공정(Ⅱ) 후에, 추가로, 여과를 행하는 중합성 액정 조성물의 제조 방법. - 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,
상기 중합성 용액 중의 중합성 화합물의 농도가 5질량%∼50질량%인 중합성 액정 조성물의 제조 방법. - 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 가열 교반해서 중합성 용액을 조제하는 공정에서의 가열 교반 시의 가열 온도가 15℃∼100℃인 중합성 액정 조성물의 제조 방법. - 제1항 내지 제4항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 중합개시제의 혼합에 있어서의 용액의 온도가 0℃∼80℃인 중합성 액정 조성물의 제조 방법. - 제1항 내지 제5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 가열 교반해서 중합성 용액을 조제하는 공정에서의 교반 회전수가 10rpm∼1000rpm인 중합성 액정 조성물의 제조 방법. - 제1항 내지 제6항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 중합성 용액을 조제하는 공정에서 중합금지제 및/또는 산화방지제를 혼합하는 것을 특징으로 하는 중합성 액정 조성물의 제조 방법. - 제1항 내지 제7항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 중합성 화합물이 일반식(1)
(식 중, P는 중합성 관능기를 나타내고,
Sp는 탄소 원자수 0∼18의 알킬렌기를 나타내고(당해 알킬렌기 중의 수소 원자는 1개 이상의 할로겐 원자 또는 CN에 의해 치환되어 있어도 되고, 이 기 중에 존재하는 1개의 CH2기 또는 인접해 있지 않은 2개 이상의 CH2기는 각각 서로 독립해서, 산소 원자가 서로 직접 결합하지 않은 형태로, -O-, -S-, -NH-, -N(CH3)-, -CO-, -COO-, -OCO-, -OCOO-, -SCO-, -COS- 또는 -C≡C-에 의해 치환되어 있어도 된다), m은 0 또는 1을 나타내고,
MG는 메소겐기를 나타내고,
R1은, 수소 원자, 할로겐 원자, 시아노기 또는 탄소 원자수 1∼18의 알킬기를 나타내지만, 당해 알킬기는 1개 이상의 할로겐 원자 또는 CN에 의해 치환되어 있어도 되고, 이 기 중에 존재하는 1개의 CH2기 또는 인접해 있지 않은 2개 이상의 CH2기는 각각 서로 독립해서, 산소 원자가 서로 직접 결합하지 않은 형태로, -O-, -S-, -NH-, -N(CH3)-, -CO-, -COO-, -OCO-, -OCOO-, -SCO-, -COS- 또는 -C≡C-에 의해 치환되어 있어도 되고, 또는 R1은 일반식(1-a)
(식 중, P는 반응성 관능기를 나타내고, Sp는 탄소 원자수 0∼18의 스페이서기를 나타내고, m은 0 또는 1을 나타낸다)으로 표시되는 구조를 나타내고, P, 및 Sp가 복수 존재하는 경우는, 각각, 동일해도 되며, 달라도 된다)
으로 표시되는 화합물인, 중합성 액정 조성물의 제조 방법. - 제8항에 있어서,
상기 일반식(1)에 있어서, MG가 일반식(1-b)
(식 중, A1, A2 및 A3은 각각 독립적으로, 1,4-페닐렌기, 1,4-시클로헥실렌기, 1,4-시클로헥세닐기, 테트라히드로피란-2,5-디일기, 1,3-디옥산-2,5-디일기, 테트라히드로티오피란-2,5-디일기, 1,4-비시클로(2,2,2)옥틸렌기, 데카히드로나프탈렌-2,6-디일기, 피리딘-2,5-디일기, 피리미딘-2,5-디일기, 피라진-2,5-디일기, 티오펜-2,5-디일기, 1,2,3,4-테트라히드로나프탈렌-2,6-디일기, 2,6-나프틸렌기, 페난트렌-2,7-디일기, 9,10-디히드로페난트렌-2,7-디일기, 1,2,3,4,4a,9,10a-옥타히드로페난트렌-2,7-디일기, 1,4-나프틸렌기, 벤조[1,2-b:4,5-b']디티오펜-2,6-디일기, 벤조[1,2-b:4,5-b']디셀레노펜-2,6-디일기, [1]벤조티에노[3,2-b]티오펜-2,7-디일기, [1]벤조셀레노페노[3,2-b]셀레노펜-2,7-디일기, 또는 플루오렌-2,7-디일기를 나타내고, 치환기로서 1개 이상의 F, Cl, CF3, OCF3, CN기, 탄소 원자수 1∼8의 알킬기, 알콕시기, 알카노일기, 알카노일옥시기, 탄소 원자수 2∼8의 알케닐기, 알케닐옥시기, 알케노일기, 알케노일옥시기, 및/또는 일반식(1-a)
(식 중, P는 반응성 관능기를 나타내고, Sp는 탄소 원자수 0∼18의 스페이서기를 나타내고, m은 0 또는 1을 나타내고, P, 및 Sp가 복수 존재하는 경우는, 각각, 동일해도 되며, 달라도 된다)를 갖고 있어도 되고,
Z0, Z1, Z2 및 Z3는 각각 독립해서, -COO-, -OCO-, -CH2 CH2-, -OCH2-, -CH2O-, -CH=CH-, -C≡C-, -CH=CHCOO-, -OCOCH=CH-, -CH2CH2COO-, -CH2CH2OCO-, -COOCH2CH2-, -OCOCH2CH2-, -CONH-, -NHCO-, 할로겐 원자를 가져도 되는 탄소 원자수 2∼10의 알킬기 또는 단결합을 나타내고,
n은 0, 1 또는 2를 나타내고, A1, 및 Z1이 복수 존재하는 경우는, 각각, 동일해도 되며, 달라도 된다)으로 표시되는 화합물인, 중합성 액정 조성물의 제조 방법. - 제8항 또는 제9항에 있어서,
상기 일반식(1)에 있어서, R1이 일반식(1-a)으로 표시되는 화합물을 함유하는 중합성 액정 조성물의 제조 방법. - 제8항 내지 제10항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 일반식(1)으로 표시되는 화합물 중, 융점이 100℃ 이상인 것을 포함하는 중합성 액정 조성물의 제조 방법. - 제1항 내지 제11항 중 어느 한 항에 기재된 제조 방법에 의해 얻어지는 중합성 액정 조성물.
- 제12항에 기재된 중합성 액정 조성물을 사용한 광학 이방체.
