Abstract
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 화합물은 하기 화학식 1로 표시되는 화합물이다.

상기 화학식 1에서,
상기 n은 0, 1 또는 2이고,
상기 X는 F, Cl, CF3, CF2CF3 CHF2, CH2F, OCF3, CN, NCS, 또는 1 내지 3개의 F를 포함하는 탄소수 1 내지 5의 알킬이고, 여기서 CH2기는 각각 서로 독립적으로 O 원자로 치환 가능하고,
상기 R1은 수소 또는 탄소 수 1 내지 15의 알킬이고, 이때, 하나 이상의 CH2 기는 각각 서로 독립적으로 O 원자들이 서로 직접 연결되지 않는 방식으로 -C≡C-, -CF2O-, -CH=CH-, -O-, -CO-O-, -O-CO- 또는 -O-CO-O-로 대체될 수 있으며, 1 내지 3개의 수소 원자는 할로겐으로 대체될 수 있고
(R1), (F)는 각각 플루오르가 치환되거나 비치환될 수 있음을 나타내고,
상기 , 는 각각, 서로 독립적으로 하기
로 이루어진 군에서 선택되는 하나 이상이다.

Claims (24)
- 하기 화학식 1로 표시되는 화합물:

상기 화학식 1에서,
상기 n은 0, 1 또는 2이고,
상기 X는 F, Cl, CF3, CF2CF3 CHF2, CH2F, OCF3, CN, NCS, 또는 1 내지 3개의 F를 포함하는 탄소수 1 내지 5의 알킬이고, 이때 CH2기는 각각 서로 독립적으로 O 원자로 치환 가능하고,

상기 화학식 5로 표시되는 화합물의 함량이 1 중량% 내지 40 중량%인 액정 조성물. - 제1 절연 기판,
상기 제1 절연 기판 위에 위치하는 박막 트랜지스터,
상기 박막 트랜지스터와 연결된 화소 전극,
상기 화소 전극과 절연되어, 상기 제1 절연 기판 위에 위치하는 공통전극,
상기 제1 절연 기판과 마주하는 제2 절연 기판, 및
상기 제1 절연 기판과 상기 제2 절연 기판 사이에 위치하는 액정층을 포함하고,
상기 액정층은 하기 화학식 1로 표시되는 화합물을 1종 이상 포함하는 액정 표시 장치:
