b) 화학식 III의 화합물을 황산 또는 발연 황산의 존재 하에 트리클로로이소시아누르산과 반응시켜 화학식 IV의 화합물:

(여기서, R1은 수소, 플루오로 또는 클로로임)을 얻는 단계; 및
c) 화학식 III의 화합물을 180℃ 내지 250℃의 온도에서 염소 기체와 반응시켜 화학식 I의 화합물:
