Claims (20)
- RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) 트랜스폰더를 동작시키기 위한 방법으로서,
상기 RFID 트랜스폰더의 RF(Radio Frequency) 필드, 자기장, 열, 광 또는 움직임으로부터 에너지를 수집하기 위한 에너지 하베스팅 동작(energy harvesting operation)들을 상기 RFID 트랜스폰더의 전압 스캐빈징 디바이스(voltage scavenging device)에 의해 수행하는 단계;
상기 RFID 트랜스폰더의 전압 컨버터에 의해, 상기 전압 스캐빈징 디바이스로부터 수신된 신호의 전압 레벨을, 상기 RFID 트랜스폰더에 대한 정상 동작 범위의 적어도 10배(one order of magnitude) 미만인 서브-임계 전압 레벨까지 증가시키거나 또는 감소시키는 단계; 및
상기 서브-임계 전압 레벨의 동작 전압을 상기 RFID 트랜스폰더의 적어도 트랜시버 회로에 공급하는 단계를 포함하는,
RFID 트랜스폰더를 동작시키기 위한 방법. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 전압 레벨에 대한 정상 동작 범위는 1.2볼트 내지 3.6볼트인,
RFID 트랜스폰더를 동작시키기 위한 방법. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 서브-임계 전압 레벨은 200밀리-볼트 내지 600밀리-볼트 이내인,
RFID 트랜스폰더를 동작시키기 위한 방법. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 전압 레벨은, 상기 에너지가 RF 필드, 자기장, 열 또는 광으로부터 수집될 때, 상기 서브-임계 전압 레벨까지 증가되는,

보통 상기 RFID 트랜스폰더의 안테나와 상기 RFID 트랜스폰더의 전파 정류기(full wave rectifier) 사이에 전기적 접속을 제공하는 포지션에 있는 스위치를 통해 상기 RF 에너지를 통과시키는 동작;
전력을 생성하기 위해 상기 RF 에너지를 직류로 컨버팅하는 동작;
상기 에너지 저장 디바이스를 미리-결정된 전압 레벨까지 충전하기 위해, 상기 전력을 상기 RFID 트랜스폰더의 에너지 저장 디바이스에 공급하는 동작; 및
상기 에너지 저장 디바이스의 전압 레벨이 상기 미리-결정된 전압 레벨과 동일하거나 또는 그보다 더 클 때, 상기 에너지 저장 디바이스로부터 상기 RFID 트랜스폰더의 제어기에 전력을 공급하는 동작을 수반하는,
RFID 트랜스폰더를 동작시키기 위한 방법. - 제 6 항에 있어서,
상기 에너지 저장 디바이스는 수퍼 커패시터를 포함하는,
RFID 트랜스폰더를 동작시키기 위한 방법. - 제 6 항에 있어서,
상기 스위치가 상기 안테나로부터 연결해제되고 상기 RFID 트랜스폰더의 트랜시버에 연결되도록, 상기 스위치가 포지션들을 변경하게 하기 위해, 스위치 제어 신호를 생성하여 상기 스위치 제어 신호를 상기 제어기로부터 상기 스위치에 전송하는 단계를 더 포함하는,
RFID 트랜스폰더를 동작시키기 위한 방법. - 제 6 항에 있어서,
상기 RFID 트랜스폰더로부터 외부 디바이스에 정보를 통신하는 단계를 더 포함하는,
RFID 트랜스폰더를 동작시키기 위한 방법. - 제 9 항에 있어서,
상기 정보는, 제한 구역으로의 사람의 액세스를 승인할지 또는 거절할지 여부를 결정하는데 유용한,
RFID 트랜스폰더를 동작시키기 위한 방법. - RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) 트랜스폰더로서,
상기 RFID 트랜스폰더의 RF(Radio Frequency) 필드, 자기장, 열, 광 또는 움직임으로부터 에너지를 수집하기 위한 에너지 하베스팅 동작들을 수행하는 전압 스캐빈징 디바이스;

상기 서브-임계 전압 레벨의 동작 전압이 공급되는 트랜시버 회로를 포함하는,
RFID 트랜스폰더. - 제 11 항에 있어서,
상기 전압 레벨에 대한 정상 동작 범위는 1.2볼트 내지 3.6볼트인,
