Claims (7)
- Ti를 포함하는 경질상(硬質相)이, Ni 및 Co 중 적어도 한쪽을 포함하는 결합상(結合相)에 의해 결합되어 이루어지는 서멧(cermet)으로서,
이 서멧의 임의의 단면에 있어서 경질상이 200개 이상 포함되는 관찰 시야를 취했을 때,
이 관찰 시야 내에 존재하는 경질상 중, 전체 경질상수에 대해 70% 이상의 경질상의 입자 직경이, 전체 경질상의 평균 입자 직경의 ±30% 이내인 서멧. - 제1항에 있어서, 상기 전체 경질상의 평균 입자 직경은, 0.5 ㎛ 이상 5.0 ㎛ 이하인 서멧.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 경질상은, 이하의 제1 경질상과, 제2 경질상과, 제3 경질상을 함유하는 서멧.
제1 경질상: 심부(core portion)와, 상기 심부 주위 전체를 덮는 주변부를 갖는 유심 구조의 경질상이고, 상기 심부는, TiC, TiN, 및 TiCN 중 적어도 하나를 주성분으로 하여 구성되며, 상기 주변부는, W, Mo, Ta, Nb, 및 Cr 중 적어도 일종(一種)과, Ti를 포함하는 복합 화합물 고용체로 구성되는 경질상
제2 경질상: TiC, TiN, 및 TiCN 중 적어도 하나를 주성분으로 하여 구성되는 단상(單相) 구조의 경질상
제3 경질상: 상기 복합 화합물 고용체로 구성되는 단상 구조의 경질상 - 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 기재된 서멧을 기재(基材)로서 이용한 절삭 공구.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 기재의 표면의 적어도 일부에 피복된 경질막을 구비하는 절삭 공구.
- Ti 탄화물, Ti 질화물, 및 Ti 탄질화물 중 적어도 일종을 포함하는 제1 경질상 원료 분말과, W, Mo, Ta, Nb, 및 Cr에서 선택되는 적어도 일종을 포함하는 제2 경질상 원료 분말과, Co 및 Ni 중 적어도 한쪽을 포함하는 결합상 원료 분말을 준비하는 준비 공정과,
상기 제1 경질상 원료 분말과, 상기 제2 경질상 원료 분말과, 상기 결합상 원료 분말을 아트라이터(attritor)로 혼합하여 혼합 분말을 제작하는 혼합 공정과,
상기 혼합 분말을 성형하여 성형체를 제작하는 성형 공정과,
상기 성형체를 소결하는 소결 공정을 구비하고,
상기 제1 경질상 원료 분말은, Ti 산화물을 출발 원료로 하고, 평균 입자 직경이 0.5 ㎛ 이상 5.0 ㎛ 이하, 또한 입도 분포의 표준 편차가 1.5 ㎛ 이하인 서멧의 제조 방법. - 제6항에 있어서, 상기 소결 공정에서는, 질소 분압을 5.0 ㎪ 이상 10.0 ㎪ 이하로 하는 질소 분위기하, 상기 성형체를 1300℃ 이상 1500℃ 이하로 가열하는 서멧의 제조 방법.
