Abstract
Description
Claims (20)
- 기판을 코팅하는 방법으로서,
(A) 기판의 표면 상에 코팅 조성물을 적용하는 단계로서, 코팅 조성물이 (i) 무기 난연제; (ii) 유기 양친매성 화합물; 및 (iii) 물을 포함하는 단계; 및
(B) 코팅 조성물을 경화시켜 기판 상에 건조 코팅(dry coating)을 형성시키는 단계를 포함하는 방법. - 제1항에 있어서, 무기 난연제가 알루미나 삼수화물, 마그네슘 하이드록사이드, 칼슘 카보네이트, 칼슘 몰리브데이트, 아연 몰리브데이트, 암모늄 몰리브데이트, 또는 이들의 조합을 포함하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 유기 양친매성 화합물이 알킬 케텐 다이머, 알케닐 숙신산 무수물, 중성 로진(neutral rosin), 또는 이들의 조합을 포함하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 코팅 조성물이 현탁제(suspension agent)를 추가로 포함하는 방법.
- 제4항에 있어서, 코팅 조성물이 25℃ 및 1 atm에서 적어도 1주 동안 안정한 에멀젼(emulsion)이며,
현탁제가 폴리아크릴레이트 분산제, 알칼리-팽윤 가능한 에멀젼제(ASE; alkali-swellable emusion agent), 소수성으로 개질된 알칼리-팽윤 가능한 에멀젼제(HASE; hydrophobically-modified alkali-swellable emusion agent), 소수성으로 개질된 에톡실화된 우레탄 수지(HEUR; hydrophobically-modified ethoxylated urethane resin), 또는 이들의 조합을 포함하는 방법. - 제1항에 있어서, 단계 (B)가 약 100 내지 약 200℃ 범위의 온도에서 수행되는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 건조 코팅의 코팅 중량이 약 10 내지 약 500 gsm의 범위인 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 기판이 금속, 목재, 페이퍼, 플라스틱, 유리, 섬유유리, 또는 이들의 조합들을 포함하는 방법.
- 제1항의 방법에 의해 제조된 코팅된 기판.
- 제9항에 있어서, 코팅된 기판이 물 시험 용액(water test solution)을 사용하여 30분 동안 표면 침투 시험을 통과하는, 코팅된 기판.
- 제9항에 있어서, 코팅된 기판이 28 부피%의 에탄올 및 72 부피%의 물로 이루어진 시험 용액을 사용하여 5분 동안 표면 침투 시험을 통과하는, 코팅된 기판.
- 제9항에 있어서, 코팅된 기판이 40 부피%의 에탄올 및 60 부피%의 물로 이루어진 시험 용액을 사용하여 1분 동안 표면 침투 시험을 통과하는, 코팅된 기판.
- (i) 무기 난연제;
(ii) 유기 양친매성 화합물; 및
(iii) 물을 포함하는, 코팅 조성물. - 제13항에 있어서, 코팅 조성물이 약 10 내지 약 90 중량%의 무기 난연제를 포함하며,
무기 난연제가 약 0.25 내지 약 5 ㎛ 범위의 D50 입자 크기를 갖는 미처리된, 침강 알루미나 삼수화물을 포함하는, 조성물. - 제13항에 있어서, 코팅 조성물이 약 0.1 내지 약 10 중량%의 유기 양친매성 화합물을 포함하며,
유기 양친매성 화합물이 알킬 케텐 다이머를 포함하는, 조성물. - 제13항에 있어서, 코팅 조성물이 약 0.05 내지 약 8 중량%의 현탁제를 추가로 포함하며,
현탁제가 알칼리-팽윤 가능한 에멀젼제(ASE)를 포함하는, 조성물. - 제13항에 있어서, 코팅 조성물이 약 55 내지 약 75 중량%의 고형물을 포함하는 수성 슬러리이며,
코팅 조성물이 25℃ 및 1 atm에서 약 200 내지 약 5000 cP 범위의 브룩필드 점도(Brookfield viscosity)를 갖는, 조성물. - 제13항의 코팅 조성물로부터 생성된 건조 코팅으로서, 약 35 내지 약 350 gsm 범위의 두께를 갖는, 건조 코팅.
- 제18항에 있어서,
건조 코팅이 물 시험 용액을 사용하여 30분 동안 표면 침투 시험을 통과하며;
건조 코팅이 28 부피%의 에탄올 및 72 부피%의 물로 이루어진 시험 용액을 사용하여 5분 동안 표면 침투 시험을 통과하며;
