Claims (15)
- 도광판;
상기 도광판의 측면에 마련되어 상기 도광판으로 광을 입사시키는 광원;
상기 도광판의 전면에 마련되고, 상기 도광판에서 출사된 광의 성분 중 제1 편광 성분을 반사하고, 제2 편광 성분을 투과시키는 원편광 반사층; 및
상기 원편광 반사층의 전면에 마련되고, 복수의 영역을 포함하며, 상기 복수의 영역 각각은 인가되는 전압에 따라 상기 원편광 반사층을 투과한 상기 제2 편광 성분을 반사하거나 투과시키는 콜레스테릭 액정층;을 포함하는 백 라이트 유닛. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 콜레스테릭 액정층은,
상기 복수의 영역 각각에 전압이 선택적으로 인가되도록, 상기 콜레스테릭 액정층의 상면에 마련되는 제1 전극 및 상기 콜레스테릭 액정층의 하면에 마련되는 제2 전극;을 포함하고,
상기 복수의 영역 각각은,

상기 제1 콜레스테릭 액정층의 전면에 마련되고, 제2 복수의 영역으로 구분되며, 상기 제2 복수의 영역의 상태를 선택적으로 변화시켜, 상기 제1 콜레스테릭 액정층을 투과한 광을 반사하거나 투과시키는 제2 콜레스테릭 액정층;을 포함하는 백 라이트 유닛. - 제6항에 있어서,
상기 제1 콜레스테릭 액정층과 상기 제2 콜레스테릭 액정층은 서로 반대 방향의 나선 구조로 마련되는 백 라이트 유닛. - 제6항에 있어서,

상기 제2 콜레스테릭 액정층의 전면에 마련되는 양자점 시트;를 더 포함하고,
상기 광원은, 청색 LED인 백 라이트 유닛. - 백 라이트 유닛; 및
상기 백 라이트 유닛의 전면에 마련되는디스플레이 패널;을 포함하고,
상기 백 라이트 유닛은,
도광판;
상기 도광판의 측면에 마련되어 상기 도광판으로 광을 입사시키는 광원;
상기 도광판의 전면에 마련되고, 상기 도광판에서 출사된 광의 성분 중 제1 편광 성분을 반사하고, 제2 편광 성분을 투과시키는 원편광 반사층; 및
상기 원편광 반사층의 전면에 마련되고, 복수의 영역을 포함하며, 상기 복수의 영역 각각은 인가되는 전압에 따라 상기 원편광 반사층을 투과한 상기 제2 편광 성분을 반사하거나 투과시키는 콜레스테릭 액정층;을 포함하는 디스플레이 장치. - 제11항에 있어서,
상기 콜레스테릭 액정층은,
상기 복수의 영역 각각에 전압이 선택적으로 인가되도록, 상기 콜레스테릭 액정층의 상면에 마련되는 제1 전극 및 상기 콜레스테릭 액정층의 하면에 마련되는 제2 전극;을 포함하고,
상기 복수의 영역 각각은,
인가되는 전압에 따라 플레이너(planar) 상태, 호메오트로픽(homeotropic) 상태 또는 포컬 코닉(focal conic) 상태 중 하나로 변화하는 디스플레이 장치. - 제11항에 있어서,
상기 원편광 반사층은,
상기 제1 편광 성분과 동일한 방향의 나선 구조를 갖는 콜레스테릭 액정층인 디스플레이 장치. - 제11항에 있어서,
상기 백 라이트 유닛은,
상기 콜레스테릭 액정층의 전면에 마련되는 양자점 시트;를 더 포함하고,
상기 광원은, 청색 LED인 디스플레이 장치. - 제11항에 있어서,
상기 제1 편광 성분은 우원편광 또는 좌원편광이고,
상기 제2 편광 성분은 상기 제1 편광 성분과 반대 방향의 원편광인 디스플레이 장치.
