Claims (10)
- 건조된 베이스 매트를 포함하는 음향 타일로서, 상기 건조된 베이스 매트는:
약 70 wt% 내지 약 90 wt%의 미네랄 울;
약 5 wt% 내지 약 15 wt%의 펄라이트;
0 wt% 내지 약 10 wt%의 스타치;
약 3 wt% 내지 약 10 wt%의 라텍스;
0 wt% 내지 약 5 wt%의 석고; 및
5 wt% 미만의 수분을 포함하며, 상기 건조된 베이스 매트에는 유리 섬유가 없고;
상기 건조된 베이스 매트는 라미네이트 층, 코팅 및 천공이 없이, 약 0.70 이상의 흡음 계수(NRC, noise reduction coefficient), 약 10 파운드/평방 피트(pcf) 내지 약 12 pcf의 밀도 및 약 1/2 인치 내지 약 1 인치의 두께를 갖는, 음향 타일. - 청구항 1에 있어서, 후면 코팅을 더 포함하고 약 30 내지 약 35의 차음 계수(CAC, ceiling attenuation class) 등급을 갖는, 음향 타일.
- 청구항 1 또 2의 음향 타일을 수분 펠팅 공정으로 제조하기 위한 방법으로서,
수분을 포함하는 수성 슬러리, 및 수분이 없는 것을 기준으로 약 70 wt% 내지 약 90 wt%의 미네랄 울, 약 5 wt% 내지 약 15 wt%의 펄라이트, 0 wt% 내지 약 10 wt%의 스타치, 약 3 wt% 내지 약 10 wt%의 라텍스 및 0 wt% 내지 약 5 wt%의 석고를 포함하는 성분들을 혼합하는 단계;
상기 수성 슬러리를 움직이는 구멍들이 덮인 지지 와이어(moving foraminous support wire)상에 지속적으로 흘려 여과 케이크(filter cake)를 형성하는 단계;
상기 여과 케이크에서 수분을 제거하여 상기 여과 케이크를 약 1/2 인치 내지 약 1 인치의 두께로 압착하는 단계를 포함하는 베이스 매트를 형성하는 단계; 및
상기 베이스 매트를 건조시켜 라미네이트 층, 코팅 및 천공이 없이 약 0.70 이상의 NRC, 약 10 pcf 내지 약 12 pcf의 밀도 및 약 1/2 인치 내지 약 1 인치의 두께를 갖는 건조된 베이스 매트를 만드는 단계를 포함하며,
상기 수성 슬러리 및 상기 건조된 베이스 매트에는 유리 섬유가 없는, 방법. - 청구항 3에 있어서, 상기 음향 타일의 후면을 상기 건조된 베이스 매트에 대한 약 5 그램/평방 피트(gsf) 내지 약 40 gsf의 표면 중량의 코팅을 적용하는 단계를 더 포함하며, 상기 음향 타일은 약 30 내지 약 35의 CAC 등급을 갖는, 방법.
- 청구항 3에 있어서, 상기 음향 타일의 전면을 상기 건조된 베이스 매트에 대한 약 5 gsf 내지 약 40 gsf의 표면 중량의 코팅을 적용하는 단계를 더 포함하는, 방법.
- 청구항 3에 있어서, 상기 수성 슬러리에는 폴리머 섬유 및 유기 섬유 중 하나 이상이 없는, 방법.
- 청구항 3에 있어서, 상기 건조된 베이스 매트는 상기 미네랄 울, 상기 펄라이트, 상기 스타치, 상기 라텍스 및 약 5 wt% 미만의 수분, 그리고 선택 사항으로 스타치로 구성되는, 방법.
- 건조된 베이스 매트를 포함하는 음향 타일로서, 상기 건조된 베이스 매트는:
약 60 wt% 내지 약 90 wt%의 미네랄 울;
약 5 wt% 내지 약 15 wt%의 펄라이트;
0 wt% 내지 약 10 wt%의 스타치;
약 3 wt% 내지 약 10 wt%의 라텍스;
0 wt% 내지 약 5 wt%의 석고;
약 0.5 wt% 내지 약 10 wt%의 유리 섬유; 및
5 wt% 미만의 수분을 포함하며;
상기 건조된 베이스 매트는 라미네이트 층, 코팅 및 천공이 없이, 약 0.75 이상의 흡음 계수(NRC), 약 10 파운드/평방 피트(pcf) 내지 약 12 pcf의 밀도 및 약 1/2 인치 내지 약 1 인치의 두께를 갖는, 음향 타일. - 청구항 8의 음향 타일을 수분 펠팅 공정으로 제조하기 위한 방법으로서,

상기 수성 슬러리를 움직이는 구멍들이 덮인 지지 와이어상에 지속적으로 흘려 여과 케이크를 형성하는 단계;
상기 여과 케이크에서 수분을 제거하여 상기 여과 케이크를 약 1/2 인치 내지 약 1 인치의 두께로 압착하는 단계를 포함하는 베이스 매트를 형성하는 단계; 및
