Claims (20)
- 제1 주 표면과, 반대되는 제2 주 표면, 및 복수의 광 추출 피쳐들(light extraction features)을 포함하는 광 가이드 플레이트;
상기 광 가이드 플레이트의 상기 제2 주 표면에 광학적으로 커플링된(optically coupled) 적어도 하나의 광원;
상기 광 가이드 플레이트의 상기 제2 주 표면에 인접하게 위치하는 후방 반사부(rear reflector); 및
상기 광 가이드 플레이트의 상기 제1 주 표면에 인접하게 위치하고, 적어도 하나의 광학적 반사성 성분(optically reflective component) 및 적어도 하나의 광학적 투과성 성분(optically transmissive component)을 포함하는 패터닝된 반사층을 포함하는 백라이트 유닛. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 광 가이드 플레이트는 유리를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 백라이트 유닛. - 제2항에 있어서,
상기 유리는,
50 내지 90 몰%의 SiO2,
0 내지 20 몰%의 Al2O3,
0 내지 20 몰%의 B2O3, 및
0 내지 25 몰%의 RxO (x는 2이고, R은 Li, Na, K, Rb, Cs, 및 이들의 조합들로부터 선택되거나, x는 1이고, R은 Zn, Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, 및 이들의 조합들로부터 선택됨),
의 조성을 산화물의 몰%에 기초하여 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 백라이트 유닛. - 제1항에 있어서,

상기 광 가이드 플레이트는 약 450 nm 내지 약 650 nm 범위의 파장들에 대하여 75 mm의 경로 길이 상으로 적어도 98%의 내부 투과도(internal transmission)를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 백라이트 유닛. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 광 가이드 플레이트는 약 0.1 mm 내지 약 2 mm 범위의 두께를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 백라이트 유닛. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 적어도 하나의 광원은 광학적 접착층을 통해 상기 광 가이드 플레이트의 상기 제2 주 표면에 광학적으로 커플링되는 것을 특징으로 하는 백라이트 유닛. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 광학적 접착층은 상기 광 가이드 플레이트의 굴절률의 10% 이내인 굴절률을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 백라이트 유닛. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 적어도 하나의 광원으로부터의 빛의 제1 부분은 내부 전반사(total internal reflection)에 기인하여 상기 광 가이드 플레이트의 길이를 따라 측방향으로 이동하고,
상기 빛의 제2 부분은 상기 패터닝된 반사층 및 상기 후방 반사부 사이의 반사들에 기인하여 측방향으로 이동하는 것을 특징으로 하는 백라이트 유닛. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 적어도 하나의 광원 위에 위치하는 상기 패터닝된 반사층의 제1 영역은 상기 광학적 투과성 성분들보다 더 큰 밀도의 광학적 반사성 성분들을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 백라이트 유닛. - 제10항에 있어서,
상기 제1 영역의 광학적 반사도는 적어도 약 92%인 것을 특징으로 하는 백라이트 유닛. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 패터닝된 반사층은 상기 광 가이드 플레이트의 상기 제1 주 표면 상에 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 백라이트 유닛. - 제12항에 있어서,
상기 패터닝된 반사층은 패터닝된 금속막 또는 다중층 유전 코팅을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 백라이트 유닛. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 패터닝된 반사층은 단일층 또는 복합체층을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 백라이트 유닛. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 복수의 광 추출 피쳐들은 상기 광 가이드 플레이트의 상기 제1 주 표면 상에, 상기 광 가이드 플레이트의 상기 제2 주 표면 상에, 상기 광 가이드 플레이트의 매트릭스 내에, 또는 이들의 임의의 조합에 존재하는 것을 특징으로 하는 백라이트 유닛. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 광 추출 피쳐들은 광 산란 입자들, 레이저-손상된 사이트들(laser-damaged sites), 텍스쳐 표면 피쳐들(textural surface features), 또는 이들의 조합들을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 백라이트 유닛. - 제1항에 있어서,
