Abstract
Description
Claims (14)
- (a) 자유 라디칼 (공)중합성 에틸렌계 불포화 재료를 포함하며, 비-불균질(non-heterogeneous)한 비-탈기(non-deaerated) 혼합물을, 배치 반응기(batch reactor) 내에 제공하는 단계;
(b) 상기 자유 라디칼 (공)중합성 에틸렌계 불포화 재료의 (공)중합을 개시하도록 상기 비-탈기 혼합물을 이온화 방사선의 공급원에 노출시키는 단계; 및
(c) (공)중합된 (공)중합체를 산출하도록 상기 혼합물을 상기 이온화 방사선의 공급원에 계속 노출시키면서, 상기 자유 라디칼 (공)중합성 에틸렌계 불포화 재료가 단열 조건 하에서 (공)중합되게 하는 단계
를 포함하는 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 혼합물에는 열-유도(induced) 또는 UV-유도 자유 라디칼 (공)중합 개시제가 부재하는, 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 이온화 방사선의 공급원은 감마선 공급원, x-선 공급원, 300 keV 초과의 방출 에너지를 갖는 전자 빔 공급원, 및 이들의 조합으로부터 선택되는, 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
단계 (a), 단계 (b), 단계 (c), 또는 이들의 조합에서 상기 혼합물은, 상기 배치 반응기의 증기 공간 내의 산소 수준을 감소시키도록 불활성 기체로 블랭킷(blanket)되는, 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 혼합물은 사슬 전달제(chain transfer agent)를 추가로 포함하는, 방법. - 제5항에 있어서,
상기 사슬 전달제는 사브롬화탄소, 헥산브로모에탄, 브로모트라이클로로메탄, 에탄티올, 아이소옥틸티오글리콜레이트, 2-메르캅토에탄올, 3-메르캅토-1,2-프로판다이올, 2-부틸 메르캅탄, n-옥틸 메르캅탄, t-도데실메르캅탄, 2-에틸헥실 메르캅토프로피오네이트, 2-메르캅토이미다졸, 2-메르캅토에틸 에테르, 쿠멘, 에틸 아세테이트, 에탄올, 2-프로판올, 및 이들의 조합으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는, 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,

상기 자유 라디칼 (공)중합성 에틸렌계 불포화 재료는 비닐-작용성 단량체, 비닐-작용성 올리고머, 비닐-작용성 거대단량체(macromer), 또는 이들의 조합을 포함하는, 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 자유 라디칼 (공)중합성 에틸렌계 불포화 단량체는, N-비닐 피롤리돈, N,N-다이메틸 아크릴아미드, (메트)아크릴산, 아크릴아미드, N-옥틸 아크릴아미드, 스티렌, 비닐 아세테이트, 및 이들의 조합으로부터 선택되는, (공)중합하기 어려운 단량체를 포함하는, 방법. - 제1항에 따라 제조되는 감압성(pressure sensitive) 접착제로서,
상기 감압성 접착제는 VDA-278에 따라 결정되는 1,000 ㎍/g 이하의 FOG 값을 나타내는, 감압성 접착제. - 제11항에 있어서,
상기 감압성 접착제는 VDA-278에 따라 결정되는 2,000 ㎍/g 이하의 VOC 값을 나타내는, 감압성 접착제. - 제11항의 감압성 접착제를 포함하는 감압성 접착제 물품으로서,
상기 감압성 접착제 물품은 기재(substrate)의 주 표면(major surface) 상에 상기 감압성 접착제의 적어도 하나의 층을 포함하는, 감압성 접착제 물품. - 제13항에 있어서,
상기 감압성 접착제 층은 1 mm 이상의 두께를 갖는, 감압성 접착제 물품.
