Abstract
본 발명의 실시예에 따른 자동차의 배기가스 정화장치의 제어방법은, 엔진의 시동 직후에 하우징에 유입되는 배기가스에 함유된 미연소 연료의 농도를 연료 농후가 되도록 제어하는 농후제어가 수행되는 단계와, 상기 하우징에 유입되는 배기가스에 함유된 미연소 연료의 농도를 연료 희박이 되도록 제어하는 희박제어가 수행되는 단계와, 상기 하우징에 유입되는 배기가스의 온도가 설정온도 이상인지 판단되는 단계와, 상기 하우징에 유입되는 배기가스에 함유된 미연소 연료의 농도를 연료 희박 및 연료 농후가 주기적으로 규칙적인 교대를 반복하도록 제어하는 일반제어가 수행되는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.

Claims (15)
- 엔진의 배기가스를 정화하도록 상기 엔진의 배기측과 연결된 배기 파이프 상에 구비되는 자동차의 배기가스 정화장치에 있어서,
상기 엔진으로부터 배출되는 배기가스를 받아들이고, 경유한 배기가스를 후방으로 배출시키도록 상기 배기 파이프 상에 배치되는 하우징;
상기 하우징의 전단을 통하여 상기 하우징 유입된 배기가스를 1차적으로 정화시키도록 상기 하우징에 내장되는 전단 촉매;
상기 전단 촉매를 경유한 배기가스를 상기 하우징의 후단으로 유출되기 전에 2차적으로 정화시키도록 상기 하우징에 내장되는 후단 촉매; 및
상기 하우징의 전단에서 상기 배기 파이프와 연결되어 상기 하우징에 유입되는 배기가스의 온도에 따라 배기가스에 함유된 미연소 연료의 농도를 제어하는 제어기;
를 포함하되,
상기 제어기는 상기 하우징에 유입되는 배기가스의 온도가 설정온도 미만일 때에 상기 하우징에 유입되는 배기가스에 함유된 미연소 연료의 농도를 연료 농후가 되도록 제어하는 농후제어를 일시적으로 수행하고, 상기 하우징에 유입되는 배기가스에 함유된 미연소 연료의 농도를 연료 희박이 되도록 제어하는 희박제어를 상기 농후제어 후에 지속적으로 수행하는 것을 특징으로 하는 자동차의 배기가스 정화장치. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 전단 촉매는 탄화수소 및 일산화탄소를 산화시킴과 동시에 질소산화물을 흡장하는 팔라듐 촉매인 것을 특징으로 하는 자동차의 배기가스 정화장치. - 제2항에 있어서,

상기 후단 촉매는 Rh/CZO 촉매인 것을 특징으로 하는 자동차의 배기가스 정화장치. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 제어기는 상기 하우징에 유입되는 배기가스의 온도가 설정온도 이상일 때에 상기 하우징에 유입되는 배기가스에 함유된 미연소 연료의 농도를 연료 희박 및 연료 농후가 주기적으로 규칙적인 교대를 반복하도록 제어하는 일반제어를 수행하는 것을 특징으로 하는 자동차의 배기가스 정화장치. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 농후제어는 람다가 0.9 미만에서 1초 이상 지속되는 것을 특징으로 하는 자동차의 배기가스 정화장치. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 희박제어는 람다가 1.03 이상인 것을 특징으로 하는 자동차의 배기가스 정화장치. - 엔진으로부터 배출되는 배기가스를 받아들이고, 경유한 배기가스를 후방으로 배출시키도록 배기 파이프 상에 배치되는 하우징 내부에 배기가스를 1차적으로 정화시키는 전단 촉매 및 상기 전단 촉매를 경유한 배기가스를 2차적으로 정화시키는 후단 촉매가 내장되고, 제어기에 의해 상기 하우징에 유입되는 배기가스의 온도에 따라 배기가스에 함유된 미연소 연료의 농도가 제어되는 자동차의 배기가스 정화장치를 제어하는 제어방법에 있어서,
상기 엔진의 시동 직후에 상기 하우징에 유입되는 배기가스에 함유된 미연소 연료의 농도를 연료 농후가 되도록 제어하는 농후제어가 수행되는 단계;
상기 하우징에 유입되는 배기가스에 함유된 미연소 연료의 농도를 연료 희박이 되도록 제어하는 희박제어가 수행되는 단계;
상기 하우징에 유입되는 배기가스의 온도가 설정온도 이상인지 판단되는 단계; 및
상기 하우징에 유입되는 배기가스에 함유된 미연소 연료의 농도를 연료 희박 및 연료 농후가 주기적으로 규칙적인 교대를 반복하도록 제어하는 일반제어가 수행되는 단계;
를 포함하는 자동차의 배기가스 정화장치의 제어방법. - 제9항에 있어서,
상기 농후제어는 일시적으로 수행되고, 상기 희박제어는 상기 전단 촉매가 상기 일시적인 농후제어에 의해 환원된 후에 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 자동차의 배기가스 정화장치의 제어방법. - 제9항에 있어서,
상기 하우징에 유입되는 배기가스의 온도가 설정온도 이상인지는 상기 희박제어가 수행되는 동안에 계속해서 판단되는 것을 특징으로 하는 자동차의 배기가스 정화장치의 제어방법. - 제11항에 있어서,
상기 하우징에 유입되는 배기가스의 온도가 설정온도 미만이면, 상기 희박제어가 계속 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 자동차의 배기가스 정화장치의 제어방법. - 제11항에 있어서,
상기 하우징에 유입되는 배기가스의 온도가 설정온도 이상이면, 상기 일반제어가 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 자동차의 배기가스 정화장치의 제어방법. - 제13항에 있어서,
상기 일반제어를 수행하면서 종료되는 것을 특징으로 하는 자동차의 배기가스 정화장치의 제어방법. - 제9항에 있어서,
상기 전단 촉매는 탄화수소 및 일산화탄소를 산화시킴과 동시에 질소산화물을 흡장하는 팔라듐 촉매이고, 상기 후단 촉매는 질소산화물을 환원시키는 로듐 촉매이며,
상기 농후제어가 수행된 후에 상기 하우징에 유입되는 배기가스의 온도가 설정온도 미만인 상태에서 상기 희박제어가 수행되는 동안에 질소산화물이 상기 전단 촉매에 흡장되고, 상기 하우징에 유입되는 배기가스의 온도가 설정온도 이상이 되어 상기 일반제어가 수행되는 동안에 질소산화물이 상기 전단 촉매로부터 이탈되어 상기 후단 촉매에서 환원되는 것을 특징으로 하는 자동차의 배기가스 정화장치의 제어방법.
