Claims (12)
- 하기 화학식 I의 화합물:

R1 및 R2는 H, 또는 탄소수 1 내지 15의 알킬 라디칼을 나타내고, 이때, 또한, 이들 라디칼에서 하나 이상의 CH2 기는, 각각 서로 독립적으로, O 원자들이 서로 직접 연결되지 않는 방식으로, -C≡C- , -CF2O-, -OCF2-, -CH=CH-, , -O-, -CO-O- 또는 -O-CO-로 대체될 수 있고, 이때, 또한, 하나 이상의 H 원자는 할로겐으로 대체될 수 있고, 이때 R1 및 R2 중 적어도 하나는 H가 아니고,
L은, 각각의 경우, 동일하거나 상이하게, 각각 탄소수 10 이하의 알킬, 알콕시, 알켄일, 알켄일옥시 또는 알콕시알킬(이때, 하나 이상의 H 원자는 불소로 대체될 수 있음); 또는 각각 탄소수 3 내지 6의 사이클로알킬 또는 사이클로알켄일; 또는 할로겐, CN, OH, 또는 SF5를 나타내고,
r 및 s는, 동일하거나 상이하게, 0, 1, 2 또는 3, 바람직하게는 0 또는 1, 특히 바람직하게는 0이다. - 제 1 항 내지 제 3 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
R1 및 R2가 탄소수 7 이하의 알킬 또는 알켄일을 나타내고,
L이, 각각의 경우, 동일하거나 상이하게, F, Cl, CF3, OCF3, 메틸, 에틸, n-프로필, 이소프로필, 사이클로프로필, 또는 사이클로부틸을 나타내는, 화합물. - 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 따른 화합물을 하나 이상 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 매질.

X11 및 X12는, 서로 독립적으로, F, Cl, Br, -CN, -NCS, -SCN, SF5, 탄소수 1 내지 7의 불화된 알킬 또는 불화된 알콕시, 또는 탄소수 2 내지 7의 불화된 알켄일, 불화된 알켄일옥시 또는 불화된 알콕시알킬, 바람직하게는 CF3, OCF3, Cl, F 또는 NCS를 나타내고,
p 및 q는, 서로 독립적으로, 0 또는 1을 나타내고,
Z11 내지 Z13은, 서로 독립적으로, 트랜스-CH=CH-, 트랜스-CF=CF-, -C≡C- 또는 단일 결합을 나타내고,
