Claims (15)
- 제1 화면, 제2 화면, 상기 제1 화면과 상기 제2 화면 사이에 위치하고 폴딩 가능한 경계부를 포함하는 플렉시블 표시패널;
상기 제1 화면의 데이터 라인들에 연결되고, 상기 경계부에서 상기 제1 화면과 이웃한 제1 경계부의 데이터 라인들에 연결되어 상기 제1 화면과 상기 제1 경계부의 픽셀들을 구동하는 제1 드라이브 IC; 및
상기 제2 화면의 데이터 라인들에 연결되고, 상기 경계부에서 상기 제2 화면과 이웃한 제2 경계부의 데이터 라인들에 연결되어 상기 제2 화면과 상기 제2 경계부의 픽셀들을 구동하는 제2 드라이브 IC를 포함하고,
상기 제1 및 제2 화면들 중에서 상기 제1 화면만 구동될 때,
상기 제1 드라이브 IC에서 상기 제1 화면의 데이터 라인들에 연결된 채널들만 구동되며,
상기 제1 드라이브 IC에서 상기 제1 경계부에 연결된 채널들이 셧다운되고 상기 제2 드라이브 IC의 전체 채널들이 셧다운되는 폴더블 디스플레이. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 제1 및 제2 화면들 중에서 상기 제2 화면만 구동될 때,
상기 제2 드라이브 IC에서 상기 제2 화면의 데이터 라인들에 연결된 채널들만 구동되고,
상기 제2 드라이브 IC에서 상기 제2 경계부에 연결된 채널들이 셧다운되고 상기 제1 드라이브 IC의 전체 채널들이 셧다운되는 폴더블 디스플레이. - 제 2 항에 있어서,
상기 제1 및 제2 화면들이 모두 구동될 때,
상기 제1 드라이브 IC에서 상기 제1 화면과 상기 제1 경계부의 데이터 라인들에 연결된 채널들이 구동되고,
상기 제2 드라이브 IC에서 상기 제2 화면과 상기 제2 경계부의 데이터 라인들에 연결된 채널들이 구동되는 폴더블 디스플레이. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 제1 및 제2 화면의 구동 여부에 따라 상기 제1 및 제2 드라이브 IC의 셧다운과 상기 채널들의 셧다운을 제어하는 호스트 시스템을 더 구비하는 폴더블 디스플레이. - 제 4 항에 있어서,
상기 호스트 시스템은,
인에이블 신호를 상기 제1 및 제2 드라이브 IC들로 전송하여 상기 제1 및 제2 드라이브 IC들 각각의 인에이블 및 셧다운을 제어하는 폴더블 디스플레이. - 제 5 항에 있어서,
상기 인에이블 신호는 상기 제1 화면의 구동 여부를 지시하는 bit, 상기 제2 화면의 구동 여부를 지시하는 bit, 및 상기 제1 및 제2 화면의 동시 구동 여부를 지시하는 bit를 포함하는 폴더블 디스플레이. - 제 2 항에 있어서,
상기 제1 및 제2 화면이 동시에 구동될 때,
상기 제1 드라이브 IC는 상기 제1 화면에서 상기 경계부로부터 먼 제1 좌측 코너 픽셀 영역과 상기 경계부와 이웃한 제1 우측 코너 영역 중 상기 제1 좌측 코너 픽셀 영역에서 소정의 곡선 밖의 픽셀들에 기입될 픽셀 데이터의 계조를 블랙 계조로 변경하고,
상기 제2 드라이브 IC는 상기 제2 화면에서 상기 경계부로부터 먼 제2 우측 코너 픽셀 영역과 상기 경계부와 이웃한 제2 좌측 코너 영역 중 상기 제2 우측 코너 픽셀 영역에서 소정의 곡선 밖의 픽셀들에 기입될 픽셀 데이터의 계조를 블랙 계조로 변경하는 폴더블 디스플레이. - 제 7 항에 있어서,
상기 제1 및 제2 화면 중 상기 제1 화면만 구동될 때,
상기 제1 드라이브 IC는 상기 제1 좌측 코너 픽셀 영역과 상기 제1 우측 코너 영역에서 소정의 곡선 밖의 픽셀들에 기입될 픽셀 데이터의 계조를 블랙 계조로 변경하는 폴더블 디스플레이. - 제 8 항에 있어서,
상기 제1 및 제2 화면 중 상기 제2 화면만 구동될 때,
상기 제2 드라이브 IC는 상기 제2 좌측 코너 픽셀 영역과 상기 제2 우측 코너 영역에서 소정의 곡선 밖의 픽셀들에 기입될 픽셀 데이터의 계조를 블랙 계조로 변경하는 폴더블 디스플레이. - 제 3 항에 있어서,
상기 제1 드라이브 IC로부터의 게이트 제어신호에 응답하여 상기 제1 화면의 게이트 라인들에 게이트 신호를 공급하는 제1 게이트 구동부;
상기 제2 드라이브 IC로부터의 게이트 제어신호에 응답하여 상기 제2 화면의 게이트 라인들에 게이트 신호를 공급하는 제2 게이트 구동부를 포함하고,
상기 제1 및 제2 화면들 중에서 상기 제1 화면만 구동될 때,
상기 제1 게이트 구동부가 구동되고 상기 제2 게이트 구동부는 셧다운되는 폴더블 디스플레이. - 제 10 항에 있어서,
상기 제1 및 제2 화면들 중에서 상기 제2 화면만 구동될 때,
상기 제2 게이트 구동부가 구동되고 상기 제1 게이트 구동부는 셧다운되는 폴더블 디스플레이. - 제 11 항에 있어서,
상기 제1 및 제2 화면들이 동시에 구동될 때,
상기 제1 게이트 구동부가 상기 게이트 라인들의 일측 끝단에서 게이트 신호를 공급함하고, 상기 제2 게이트 구동부가 상기 게이트 라인들의 타측 끝단에서 게이트 신호를 공급하고,
하나의 게이트 라인에서 게이트 라인의 양측 끝단으로부터 상기 게이트 신호가 동시에 인가되는 폴더블 디스플레이. - 제1 화면, 제2 화면, 상기 제1 화면과 상기 제2 화면 사이에 위치하고 폴딩 가능한 경계부를 포함하는 플렉시블 표시패널;
상기 제1 화면의 픽셀들과, 상기 경계부에서 상기 제1 화면과 이웃한 제1 경계부의 픽셀들을 구동하는 제1 구동부; 및
상기 제2 화면의 픽셀들과, 상기 경계부에서 상기 제2 화면과 이웃한 제2 경계부의 픽셀들을 구동하는 제2 구동부를 포함하고,
상기 제1 화면은,
상기 경계부와 가까운 제1-1 화면과, 상기 제1-1 화면을 사이에 두고 상기 경계부로부터 분리된 제1-2 화면을 포함하고,
상기 제2 화면은
상기 경계부와 가까운 제2-1 화면과, 상기 제2-1 화면을 사이에 두고 상기 경계부로부터 분리된 제2-2 화면을 포함하고,
상기 제1 구동부는,
상기 제1-1 화면의 데이터 라인들에 연결되고, 상기 경계부에서 상기 제1 화면과 이웃한 제1 경계부의 데이터 라인들에 연결되어 상기 제1 화면과 상기 제1 경계부의 픽셀들을 구동하는 제1-1 드라이브 IC; 및
상기 제1-2 화면의 데이터 라인들에 연결되어 상기 제1-2 화면을 구동하는 제1-2 드라이브 IC를 포함하고,
상기 제2 구동부는,
상기 제2-1 화면의 데이터 라인들에 연결되고, 상기 경계부에서 상기 제2 화면과 이웃한 제2 경계부의 데이터 라인들에 연결되어 상기 제2 화면과 상기 제2 경계부의 픽셀들을 구동하는 제2-1 드라이브 IC; 및
상기 제2-2 화면의 데이터 라인들에 연결되어 상기 제2-2 화면을 구동하는 제2-2 드라이브 IC를 포함하고,
상기 제1 및 제2 화면들 중에서 상기 제1 화면만 구동될 때,
상기 제1-1 드라이브 IC의 채널들 중에서 상기 제1-1 화면의 데이터 라인들에 연결된 채널들만 구동되며,
상기 제1-1 드라이브 IC의 채널들 중에서 상기 제1 경계부에 연결된 채널들이 셧다운되고, 상기 제1-2, 상기 제2-1, 및 상기 제2-2 드라이브 IC들의 전체 채널들이 셧다운되는 폴더블 디스플레이. - 제 13 항에 있어서,
상기 제1 및 제2 화면들 중에서 상기 제2 화면만 구동될 때,
상기 제2-1 드라이브 IC의 채널들 중에서 상기 제2-1 화면의 데이터 라인들에 연결된 채널들만 구동되며,
상기 제2-1 드라이브 IC의 채널들 중에서 상기 제2 경계부에 연결된 채널들이 셧다운되고, 상기 제2-2, 상기 제1-1, 및 상기 제1-2 드라이브 IC들의 전체 채널들이 셧다운되는 폴더블 디스플레이. - 제 14 항에 있어서,
상기 제1 및 제2 화면들이 모두 구동될 때,
상기 제1-1 및 제1-2 드라이브 IC들에서 상기 제1 화면과 상기 제1 경계부의 데이터 라인들에 연결된 채널들이 구동되고,
상기 제2-1 및 제2-2 드라이브 IC들에서 상기 제2 화면과 상기 제2 경계부의 데이터 라인들에 연결된 채널들이 구동되는 폴더블 디스플레이.
