Claims (19)
- 용존 기체 부상 (dissolved gas flotation)에 의한, 특히 용존 공기 부상 (DAF)에 의한 수성 공급물 (aqueous feed)의 처리 방법으로서,
상기 수성 공급물은 펄프, 종이, 보드, 재활용 섬유 펄프 (recycled fibre pulp) 또는 유사 물질의 제조와 같은 셀룰로스 기원의 섬유 물질의 공업적인 처리로부터 발생하는 것이고,
상기 수성 공급물은 수상, 및 상기 수상에 현탁된 고체 미립자 물질을 포함하며;
상기 방법이,
- 상기 수성 공급물을 응집제 (flocculant)와 접촉시키고, 응집제와 현탁된 고체 미립자 물질의 상호작용을 통해 현탁된 고체 미립자 물질을 플럭 (floc)으로 응집하는 단계,
- 형성된 플럭을 기체 버블과 접촉시켜, 부상조 (flotation basin)에서 부상을 유도하는 단계를 포함하며,
현탁된 고체 미립자 물질을 부상시키기 위해 사용되는 상기 응집제가, 최대 1.7 meq/(건조물) g, 바람직하게는 최대 1.5 meq/(건조물) g, 더 바람직하게는 최대 1.1 meq/(건조물) g의 전하 밀도 (charge density)를 가진 폴리머 조성물을 포함하고,
상기 폴리머 조성물은
- pH 2.8에서 적어도 1.0 meq/(건조물) g의 전하 밀도를 가진 제1 양이온성 합성 폴리머,
- (메트)아크릴아미드의 중합에 의해 수득되는 폴리머인 하나 이상의 제2 폴리머로서, 제1 양이온성 폴리머의 존재 하에 중합된, 제2 폴리머를 포함하고,
상기 제1 폴리머가 상기 제2 폴리머 보다 전하 밀도가 높은 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 제2 폴리머는 (메트)아크릴아미드와 하나 이상의 제2 모노머의 중합에 의해 수득되고,
상기 제2 모노머의 함량이 상기 폴리머 조성물의 폴리머 물질의 총 건조 중량으로 계산하였을 때 0.2 내지 19 중량%인 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,
상기 제1 양이온성 합성 폴리머가 pH 2.8에서 1 - 12 meq/(건조물) g, 바람직하게는 1 - 8 meq/(건조물) g, 더 바람직하게는 1.3 - 8 meq/(건조물) g, 보다 더 바람직하게는 5 - 7 meq/(건조물) g 범위의 전하 밀도를 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 제1 양이온성 합성 폴리머가 폴리아민; 라디칼 중합에 의해 수득되는 제1 양이온성 모노머로 된 호모폴리머; 라디칼 중합에 의해 수득되는 아크릴아미드와 제1 양이온성 모노머의 코폴리머; 또는 이들의 임의 조합으로부터 선택되는 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제4항에 있어서,
상기 제1 양이온성 합성 폴리머가 에피클로로히드린과 다이메틸아민의 코폴리머, 에피클로로히드린, 다이메틸아민 및 에틸렌다이아민으로 된 코폴리머 및 선형의 또는 가교된 폴리아미도아민으로부터 선택되는 폴리아민인 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제4항 또는 제5항에 있어서,
상기 제1 양이온성 합성 폴리머가 2-(다이메틸아미노)에틸 아크릴레이트 (ADAM), [2-(아크릴로일옥시)에틸] 트리메틸암모늄 클로라이드 (ADAM-Cl), 2-(다이메틸아미노)에틸 아크릴레이트 벤질클로라이드, 2-(다이메틸아미노)에틸 아크릴레이트 다이메틸설페이트, 2-다이메틸아미노에틸 메타크릴레이트 (MADAM), [2-(메타크릴로일옥시)에틸] 트리메틸암모늄 클로라이드 (MADAM-Cl), 2-다이메틸아미노에틸 메타크릴레이트 다이메틸설페이트, [3-(아크릴로일아미노)프로필] 트리메틸암모늄 클로라이드 (APTAC), [3-(메타크릴로일아미노)프로필] 트리메틸암모늄 클로라이드 (MAPTAC) 및 다이알릴다이메틸-암모늄 클로라이드 (DADMAC)로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 제1 양이온성 모노머로 된 호모폴리머인 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제1항 내지 제6항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 폴리머 조성물이, 상기 폴리머 조성물의 폴리머 물질의 건조 중량으로 계산하였을 때, 제1 양이온성 합성 폴리머를 0.5 - 35 중량%, 바람직하게는 1 - 15 중량%, 더 바람직하게는 2 - 9 중량%의 함량으로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제1항 내지 제7항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 제1 양이온성 폴리머가 < 500,000 g/mol, 바람직하게는 < 100,000 g/mol, 더 바람직하게는 < 50,000 g/mol, 보다 더 바람직하게는 < 20,000 g/mol의 중량 평균 분자량 MW을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제1항 내지 제8항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 제2 폴리머가 양이온성이고,
상기 제2 모노머가 2-(다이메틸아미노)에틸 아크릴레이트 (ADAM), [2-(아크릴로일옥시)에틸] 트리메틸암모늄 클로라이드 (ADAM-Cl), 2-(다이메틸아미노)에틸 아크릴레이트 벤질클로라이드, 2-(다이메틸아미노)에틸 아크릴레이트 다이메틸설페이트, 2-다이메틸아미노에틸 메타크릴레이트 (MADAM), [2-(메타크릴로일옥시)에틸] 트리메틸암모늄 클로라이드 (MADAM-Cl), 2-다이메틸아미노에틸 메타크릴레이트 다이메틸설페이트, [3-(아크릴로일아미노)프로필] 트리메틸암모늄 클로라이드 (APTAC), [3-(메타크릴로일아미노)프로필] 트리메틸암모늄 클로라이드 (MAPTAC) 및 다이알릴다이메틸-암모늄 클로라이드 (DADMAC)로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제1항 내지 제9항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 제2 폴리머가 단열 겔 중합 (adiabatic gel polymerisation)을 이용하여, 바람직하게는 산성 pH <6에서 수득되는 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제1항 내지 제10항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 폴리머 조성물이 3 - 6 mPas, 바람직하게는 3.6 - 5.0 mPas 범위의 표준 점도 (standard viscosity)를 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제1항 내지 제11항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 폴리머 조성물이 4 - 20 dl/g, 바람직하게는 7 - 15 dl/g 범위의 고유 점도 (intrinsic viscosity)를 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제1항 내지 제12항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 수성 공급물이 상기 현탁된 고체 미립자 물질을 6000 mg/l 미만, 50 - 5000 mg/l, 바람직하게는 150 - 4000 mg/l의 총량으로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제1항 내지 제13항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 수성 공급물이 0.2 - 10 mS/cm, 바람직하게는 0.5 - 5.0 mS/cm, 더 바람직하게는 1.0 - 4.0 mS/cm 범위의 전도도 (conductivity)를 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제1항 내지 제14항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 수성 공급물이 20 - 3000 μeq/l, 바람직하게는 200 - 3000 μeq/l, 더 바람직하게는 100 - 2000 μeq/l, 보다 더 바람직하게는 500 - 1500 μeq/l과 같은 400 - 1500 μeq/l 범위의 양이온 요구성 (cationic demand value)을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제1항 내지 제15항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 수성 공급물의 pH가 4 - 9.5, 바람직하게는 4 - 8 범위인 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제1항 내지 제16항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 현탁된 고체 미립자 물질이 무기 미네랄 입자 및 셀룰로스 섬유 및/또는 원섬유 (fibril)를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제1항 내지 제17항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 폴리머 조성물을 포함하는 응집제가, 수성 공급물 체적 당 폴리머 건조 조성물로서, 0.1 - 10 mg/l, 바람직하게는 0.2 - 3 mg/l, 더 바람직하게는 0.2 - 1.0 mg/l의 함량으로 사용되는 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제1항 내지 제18항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 수성 공급물을 응집제와 접촉시키기 전에, 상기 수성 공급물에 응고제 (coagulant)를 도입하는 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법.
