Claims (14)
- 리어 액정 셀과 프론트 액정 셀을 통과한 광에 의해 표시 화상이 생성되는 표시 패널에 대한 화상 신호인 입력 화상 신호에 대해 계조값 변환을 행하여 상기 리어 액정 셀에 대한 리어 화상 신호를 생성하는 계조값 변환부와,
상기 계조값 변환부로부터 출력되는 리어 화상 신호의 값을 리미트 값(limit value)으로 제한하는 처리를 행하는 리미트 처리부를 구비한, 화상 처리 장치. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 입력 화상 신호의 최대값을 검출하는 최대값 검출부를 구비하고,
상기 리미트 처리부는, 리미트 값을 상기 최대값 검출부에 의해 검출된 최대값에 기초한 값으로 하는, 화상 처리 장치. - 제2항에 있어서,
상기 리미트 처리부는, 상기 최대값 검출부에 의해 검출된 최대값을 리미트 값으로 하는, 화상 처리 장치. - 제2항에 있어서,
상기 최대값 검출부는, 화상 내에 설정된 복수의 에어리어마다 최대값을 검출하고,
상기 리미트 처리부는, 에어리어마다, 에어리어 내의 최대값에 기초한 리미트 값에 의한 리미트 처리를 행하는, 화상 처리 장치. - 제2항에 있어서,
상기 최대값 검출부에 의해 검출된 최대값이 설정된 하한값 미만인 경우, 상기 하한값을 최대값으로서 출력하는 하한 리미트 처리부를 구비한, 화상 처리 장치. - 제2항에 있어서,
상기 최대값 검출부에 의해 검출되는 최대값의 시간축 방향의 변동량을 억제하는 시간 필터부를 구비한, 화상 처리 장치. - 제6항에 있어서,
입력 화상 신호에 대한 장면 변화(scene change)를 검출하는 장면 변화 검출부를 구비하고,
상기 시간 필터부는, 장면 변화가 검출된 경우에는 필터 동작을 변화시키는, 화상 처리 장치. - 제6항에 있어서,
상기 최대값 검출부에 의해 검출된 최대값이 설정된 하한값 미만인 경우, 최대값을 상기 하한값으로 하는 하한 리미트 처리부와,
입력 화상 신호가 동영상인지 여부를 검출하는 동영상 검출부를 구비하고,
상기 하한 리미트 처리부는, 입력 화상 신호가 동영상인 경우와 동영상이 아닐 경우에서, 상기 하한값을 다른 값으로 하는, 화상 처리 장치. - 제4항에 있어서,
화상 내에 설정된 복수의 에어리어마다의 최대값의 공간 방향의 변동량을 억제하는 공간 필터부를 구비한, 화상 처리 장치. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 계조값 변환부는, 감마 값이 1보다 작은 감마 변환을 행하는, 화상 처리 장치. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 리어 화상 신호에 대해, 상기 리어 액정 셀에 있어서의 화상의 투과 화소 범위를 상기 프론트 액정 셀의 화상보다 넓히는 공간 필터 처리를 행하는 공간 처리부를 구비한, 화상 처리 장치. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 입력 화상 신호에 대해 상기 리어 화상 신호를 사용한 연산 처리를 행하여, 상기 프론트 액정 셀에 대한 프론트 화상 신호를 생성하는 프론트 화상 생성부를 구비하고,
상기 입력 화상 신호는 컬러 화상 신호이며, 상기 계조값 변환부는, 상기 컬러 화상 신호로부터 변환된 흑백 화상 신호에 대해 계조값 변환을 행하고,
상기 프론트 화상 생성부는, 컬러 화상 신호인 입력 화상 신호로부터 상기 리미트 처리부에서 처리된 상기 리어 화상 신호를 나눗셈함으로써 프론트 화상 신호를 생성하는, 화상 처리 장치. - 리어 액정 셀과 프론트 액정 셀을 통과한 광에 의해 표시 화상이 생성되는 표시 패널과,
상기 표시 패널에 대한 화상 신호인 입력 화상 신호에 대해 계조값 변환을 행하여 상기 리어 액정 셀에 대한 리어 화상 신호를 생성하는 계조값 변환부와,
상기 계조값 변환부로부터 출력되는 리어 화상 신호의 값을 미리 정해진 리미트 값으로 제한하는 처리를 행하는 리미트 처리부와,
상기 입력 화상 신호에 대해 상기 리어 화상 신호를 사용한 연산 처리를 행하여, 상기 프론트 액정 셀에 대한 프론트 화상 신호를 생성하는 프론트 화상 생성부를 구비한, 표시 장치. - 리어 액정 셀과 프론트 액정 셀을 통과한 광에 의해 표시 화상이 생성되는 표시 패널에 대한 화상 신호인 입력 화상 신호에 대해 계조값 변환을 행하여 상기 리어 액정 셀에 대한 리어 화상 신호를 생성하는 계조값 변환 단계와,
상기 계조값 변환 단계를 거쳐 출력되는 리어 화상 신호의 값을 미리 정해진 리미트 값으로 제한하는 처리를 행하는 리미트 처리 단계를 화상 처리 장치가 행하는, 화상 처리 방법.
