Abstract
Description
Claims (18)
- 레이저 펌핑 에너지 소오스, 레이저 로드, 열 전도성 지지체, 및 지지체로부터의 열을 제거하기 위한 냉각 시스템을 갖고 있는 레이저 펌프 공동에 있어서, 레이저 로드(18)에 지지체(22)를 열적 결합시키는 완충물(21)을 포함하고, 레이저 로드(18)상에 영향을 미치는 소정의 기계적 및 열적 응력을 최소화시키기 위해 열 변화에 응답하여 로드(18)와 지지체(22)사이의 차동운동을 흡수할 수 있는 물질(21)로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 펌프 공동.
- 제1항에 있어서, 완충물(21)을 레이저 로드(18)의 단부에서 자유롭게 이동시키기 위한 장치(54)를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 펌프 공동.
- 제2항에 있어서, 완충물(21)이 겔로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 펌프 공동.
- 제2항에 있어서, 완충물(21)이 실리콘 겔로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 펌프 공동.
- 제1항에 있어서, 지지체(21)가 로드(18)를 완전히 둘러싸고, 에너지를 투광시키는 물질(22)로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 펌프 공동.
- 제5항에 있어서, 지지체(22) 물질이 성형 사파이어로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 펌프 공동.
- 제1항에 있어서, 지지체(22)가 방열장치(14)에 열적 결합되는 것을 특징으로 하는 펌프 공동.
- 제1항에 있어서, 완충물(21)이 레이저 로드(18)로부터 멀리 균일하게 열을 전도시키도록 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 펌프 공동.
- 제1항에 있어서, 레이저 로드(18)가 닦여진 표면을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 펌프 공동.
- 제1항에 있어서, 지지체(22)가 로드(18) 및 냉각 시스템(11)에 인접한 표면을 갖고, 이 표면들이 에너지를 효율적으로 로드에 확산시켜 보내도록 연마되는 것을 특징으로 하는 펌프 공동.
- 제1항에 있어서, 지지체(122)가 방열장치(111)에 결합되고, 이 방열장치가 레이저 로드(118), 지지체(122) 및 방열장치(111) 사이를 소정의 차동 열 팽창 시키도록 완충물(130)의 물질에 의해 결합된 다수의 세그먼트들(114a, 114b)로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 펌프 공동.
- 제1항에 있어서, 지지체(122)가 레이저 로드(118)와 열 전도성 지지체(122)사이를 소정의 차동 열 팽창시키도록 완충물(121)의 물질에 의해 결합된 다수의 세그먼트들로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 펌프 공동.
- 제12항에 있어서, 완충물(121)이 실리콘 고무로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 펌프 공동.
- 제1항에 있어서, 지지체(122)가 소오스에 의해 발생된 에너지를 투광시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 펌프 공동.
- 레이저 로드(18)를 열 전도성 지지체(22)내에 봉입시키는 단계 및 로드(18)를 지지체(22)내에 열적 결합 완충시키는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 펌프 공동내의 레이저 로드 냉각방법.
- 제15항에 있어서, 레이저 펌핑 에너지를 투광시키도록 지지체(22)를 형성하고 지지체(22)에 로드(18)를 완전히 봉입시키는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제15항에 있어서, 열적 결합 및 완충 단계가 로드(18)와 지지체(22)사이에 겔을 배치시키는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제15항에 있어서, 열적 결합 및 완충 단계가 로드(18)와 지지체(22) 사이에 실리콘 겔을 배치시키는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
